Eating around Harajuku and the Korean food court Samurai Junjiro Channel Hi, I'm Akane Maru, born and raised in Japan Today, we're gonna introduce restaurants we recommend in Harajuku There will be 18 stores such as ones you can walk and eat in a Korean food court If you watch this video, I'm sure you'll know Harajuku better than Japanese people Now, let's get started Here we are at Harajuku station Harajuku station is right next to Shibuya station and it only takes about 10 minutes by walk There's IKEA right in front of Harajuku station, which opened in 2020 There are restaurants in IKEA, so you can enjoy meals, too Burazushi opened in December 2021 and it's popular among people from abroad Okay, let's eat around Takeshita Dori, which is a major spot in Harajuku There are more than 130 stores in Takeshita Dori and tourists from all over the world visit here Out of all the stores, the most popular one is this Marion Crepe They have more than 70 kinds of crepes at all times The crepes with bananas and chocolates are especially popular There's also a store where you can have unique crepes This is the store Santa Monica Crepe It's a popular store which has been here for over 20 years At this store, they have more than 50 kinds of crepes with strawberries and bananas Today, we'll show you a little unique crepe This crepe has tiramisu topped Such a luxurious crepe, huh? They use rich butter and flour for the shell, so it smells brilliant It's moist and has the sweetness of butter The tiramisu has a rich flavor and I like the slight bitterness of the cocoa powder I can also taste the espresso flavor, very authentic Inside the shell, there are whipped cream and coffee cream It's sweet but is also bitter, great for grown-ups The next store is Pao Sinye Pao's They have more than 300 locations in China and the first store in Japan opened here in Harajuku in May 2022 It's a bite-sized Chinese steamed bun specialty store We chose a set of four kinds of Chinese buns It's freshly steamed, very hot The small size is perfect for those who want to enjoy many kinds of foods These are all handmade from the dough, so the bun is so chewy This bun is exclusive to Japan, green onion salt flavored The juice from the meat spreads in my mouth, so juicy and yummy This is a bun inspired by hot pot The texture of corn adds a good accent It's really spicy This one is a bun of pork and mushroom It is not spicy and has a rich flavor This is a bun with Japanese pepper The spicy flavor burns my tongue, but it's addictive If you like spicy flavor, you should try the sauce Oh, my mouth is burning Let's go and eat something sweet The next store is Krokashu Zaku Zaku It's a popular shop originally from Hokkaido and is popular in China as well In the video we uploaded before, we had soft serve ice cream The flavor of milk is so rich The cookie with crunchy texture makes the soft serve ice cream even more delicious And today we are having this one The most popular item in the store Steak shaped cream puff The puff pastry has almonds in it And this crunchy texture like a cookie is so addictive They use butter and milk from Hokkaido It's nice and sweet On the inside, there's plenty of custard cream The crispy puff pastry totally matches with the rich flavor cream Next, Mitsuimo En At this store, they have popular foods with sweet potatoes and fruits But today, we'll show you this dish that was hot on SNS This is Rainbow Sand It's a sandwich with two slices of bread and cheese in between Let's see the cheese inside Wow, the cheese in the sandwich is rainbow colored The colors are beautifully separated The melting cheese is creamy As for the flavors, it's a normal cheese sandwich The next store we'll show you is Strawberry Candy Specialty Store Strawberry Fetish It opened in 2019 and is a popular store with waiting lines every day Their grape candy is limited edition But we'll have the strawberry candy that is sold more than a thousand per day They coat the strawberry with the candy after you order The candy is very thin so you can enjoy the crispy texture The strawberry has no sourness and is sweet The juice is coming out This is very recommended for strawberry lovers The next store is located at Sorado Takeshita Dori On the second floor of this building, there's a food court and there are six stores They have one of those ice creams with Oreos that's popular in Japan these days There's churros in it too Such a luxurious ice cream The ice cream is soaked in the hot churros Amazing Now we'll introduce this shop Bakudan Yaki Honpo It was established in 1996 and is a famous takoyaki store in Japan They have many kinds of flavors We chose the classic takoyaki with sauce and mayonnaise Their takoyaki is so huge As big as your hand This one bowl is about eight bowls of regular takoyaki The bonito flakes smells nice The dough is thick and creamy There are 10 ingredients in it Octopus, sausage, acari clams, squid, mochi, corn, cabbage, and so on You can enjoy many kinds of texture with this takoyaki The next one is Roll Ice Cream Factory It was opened five years ago and is still popular today At this store, they cook your ice cream on a cold iron plate They cook for you after you order So it's fun watching them cook your ice cream The ice cream is spread thinly on the plate And they roll the ice cream with the spatula Put the ice cream on a plate Put some toppings And done This is an ice cream of chocolate mint There are Oreo and chocolate biscuits Curious It's cold and delicious All right, let's go to the next store The next spot we'll show you is K-Town Harajuku It's a Korean food court which opened in 2021 There are six stores in this food court And it's popular among young female customers This Gamaro Ganjun has a locations in Takeshita Dori too At the stores in Takeshita Dori Mozzarella cheese corndog is especially popular The outside is sweet and has a crunchy texture The cheese is creamy It's an addictive flavor Today at the food court, we chose a dish with fried chicken This is Korean style fried chicken coated with salty sweet sauce The chicken is topped with lots of mozzarella cheese It also has Tteokbokki, Korean rice cake as well The chewy texture is awesome The chicken is salty and sweet This is very addictive It goes perfectly with the melting cheese The chicken is tender and juicy The flavor is thick and it makes me want to drink beer One more store This is Gimbap specialty store Nyamnyam Gimbap This store has great Gimbap, Korean rice roll But today we'll show you their freshly fried rice This is kimchi fried rice It's topped with fried egg and Korean seaweed It smells like kimchi Nice This fried rice comes with soup It's refreshing flavor It has glass noodles, dumplings too Cool The texture is nice and crispy The kimchi fried rice is not too spicy Rather sweet It has a savory smell of sesame oil Let's eat it with the half-heated egg The egg yolk makes it mild It is filling and this one item can make me full At last, let's go and eat dessert The last one we'll show you today is Café Ron Ron It's the only conveyor belt sweet restaurant in Japan It's an all-you-can-eat dessert for 40 minutes The restaurant is fancy and cute FYI, it's all-you-can-drink as well They have many kinds of sweets Such as Japanese sweets and western sweets If you're
