Hey guys, so today is a very special day because it's my husband and my anniversary and we're
excited to be doing something that's beautiful and special and it really makes our heartbeats fast.
We are visiting the Tayaco Garden and it's located here near the region of Barcelona,
Costa Brava, area of Spain and so far I'm outstanding with the beauty in this area.
So this should offer beautiful, wonderful plants to see with beautiful backgrounds
of beautiful water in the background here and there. So I'm excited to go see this.
Come with me and I'll share what I can.
This is just the entrance guys and I'm just like
these monkey tail cactuses are just unreal. They're so big, they're so hairy and so I
want to touch you. Now I can see there's an exact name here. It does have it here cactus
subspecies monkey tail cactus. Now there's another one over here that grows a little differently
and I'm wondering if it's a monkey tail cactus. Yeah it also says cola de mono which is
monkey tail cactus um but it's growing kind of wild and crazy. Probably had
some cuttings done and it's made it regrow in a different way but these are just so fluffy and
cute. This is a plant I still don't have in my collection and I would love to have
all kinds of cactuses and succulents here at the entrance
which is so much fun. Obviously in this area all this grows very well. Lots of sun, lots of sun.
One I still don't have in my collection but it's such a crazy twisty beautiful plant.
How do you say it in English? Canary Islands. Canary Islands.
Hear the birds chirping? Look at this chunky monkey succulent with a flower on it.
A Charmanthus fossinens from South Africa.
This is South Africa section.
These are the ones that you know we can get at the stores too.
I think they're kind of in columns a little like jellyfish. Here's the name.
You didn't know that's not for me. I think normally it's something like a jellyfish some
no uh not jellyfish uh like candy some kind of candy name but I think it's cute because it's
a cute little succulent and with lighting it gets the red tips. I love this beautiful little blue
cacti. I love collecting those. We're getting to the Mexico plants.
Oh nice little view downhill and it's very good it goes flicking wise.
It's huge. I think it's this one. The name Euphorbia amak scarlet rift variegated.
Are those air plants? They are air plants. A bunch of air plants. You see what? I've never seen so many
air plants living together but obviously this is what we get to see how are planted. You know I
started knowing air plants as an indoor plant which is not you know it's always an outdoor
plant but if it also just can't see them out in nature it's wonderful to get to see them out in
nature in the environment they would be living at. So I think I love coming to these botanical
gardens. I learned so much about that and hope you're also learning at seeing this. But look
how they grow in clusters. Obviously they multiply and they grow in a big family. This one you can
have flowers since they're drying up already.
This is a very unique interesting looking tree that I've never seen before.
Just the way it branches out. I feel like it's a type of pine tree and then of course as we see
in the bottom all the different ferns living in the shaded humid area. Okay so there's a few paths.
Let's start with one to the other I guess. Let's start down.
Different layers of plants and different colors and textures. What a pond.
This pond is gorgeous. You see the ocean peeking through all those rocks. Oh my
talk about a beautiful botanical garden. Today it's been a little cloudy. I'm waiting for that
clouds to go so we can really get the color of that water.
Okay let's stop and take a little selfie with my husband please. I'm in awe.
Look at these type of water water flood plants.
They're different kind of trees. They have a little purple color.
You see they're ready. I think they used to make paper out of this type of plant.
Paper known like the bible. In ancient times part of it was written in papyrus
and it was preserved before they used it on the skin.
A type of orchid jungle cactus growing and climbing up the tree. I see now how we have
the six-eyed cactus right? We have several and it loves to climb. So obviously you can see it
climb up trees like this. This pot has this fruit that's bearing.
We find all these types of different agaves. That one's really cool. That one's really pretty.
Another type of orchid cactus climbing up this tree wrapping itself around hugging it.
Oh here's the name hylocerous.
I've seen these that they sell them right like a rose and stuff.
This is the crown of thorns.
We have this color, that color.
Used to be a very easy growing plant. Easy going but ingrown. I don't have it.
I think the thorns part is not one that appeals to me at all.
It looks like a fern but it's not very thick.
Just immerse yourself in this tranquility.
Earth be without plants. We couldn't live here of course. They're such a gift.
So beautiful. Not only are they they give us the oxygen we need. They give us the food we give.
They give us this tranquility, this peace.
This is kind of like the we have this one at home. I can't wait for us for us to grow this
big and mature. I just love how it gets redder and redder as it's exposed more to the daylight.
I just bought one for my mother-in-law but it's a very good one which you get three colors.
This is um I love how it's a type of paddle cactus and I love how it grows so rounded.
This name is not the one for that one. That one the casula is this one here.
Capitela campfire. You see it's all that color and we have one of these but it's purple.
Very tiny one.
This cactus is a cactus and some some maicata.
Look at this beautiful jungle.
Look at this color contrast. Monstera.
There's all these different plants all around it. Layers of colors.
So beautiful to be creative and create your own garden.
And the little pathway. Look at this. Look at the size of this thing.
This is a pododendron. I want to say like the coelom we have or the hope. One of those two.
Look at that new leaf emerging. Oh new life. New growth. Slowly it will turn darker and green color
and get firmer and larger. And just in a few days right it'll be a big big leaf like a pododendron.
I love this little pathway. Monstera. Monstera. Happy happy happy.
So yes this is I guess a good list you know why
monsteras usually do good inside our house. Wow is this a flower? Guys check this out if
you haven't seen the flower of a monstera come stop what you're doing look at the camera right
that your tv or your your phone whatever you're looking at this video in but look at this flower.
Rarely do we ever see this at home so it's beautiful to see.
These are the little seeds. They can get pollinated and they have seeds. Gorgeous.
I guess there's multiple.
Hence why having these plants are hard to be at home because they grow
so big and they just spread out. I have mine in the outdoor patio. Look at these little colors here.
Beauty. The sun. It's been cloudy and all of a sudden it's breaking through the clouds
and plants up in waters this morning. Look at this beauty.
Look at this idea. You have an old plant a tree that was cut off. You can plant your little
cacti on there. Isn't that the cutest thing ever? Now I don't think that's a monkey tail cactus.
It's not a rat tail. It's not a dog tail. So which one is it? There's so many types.
I love how it grows down like that. See that blue cacti there?
So cute. A lot of spider plants. Look at them. How pretty they grow. Nice little decor. The
variegated ones. Spider plant here. There's the official name there. Oh look this is like the
cactus.
All kinds of cacti here. I love how it just pops.
That was outstanding. I was telling my husband that I think it's the most scenic botanical
garden I've ever seen because I've seen beautiful botanical gardens and beautiful plants but this
one just the background in contrast with the garden I mean it's just perfection. Outstanding
beaches all around us. Beautiful plants. So I definitely recommend this botanical garden.
If you're ever in the Costa Brava area of Spain and you love plants I think you're going to be
in awe. You're going to love it. I hope you enjoyed and you learned a little bit more about plants.
Until the next video. Bye!
