Director Taika found Thor: Ragnarok really exciting because it was sort of a new cycle of the life of the world or the realms of the universe. Ragnarok is the destruction of the old and the rebirth of the new. Waititi also wants to focus on Chris Hemsworth’s comedic abilities as he builds Thor as a funny character in this third installment of Thor.
Actor Chris Hemsworth (Thor) thought Ragnarok was the perfect mix for where the character and story needed to go. There are different costumes, weapons, and ideas to work on. All bring in a different energy.
