Highlights: Sporting - Arsenal | Europa League 22/23

The José Alvalade Stadium was dressed in its finest to welcome Arsenal for the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 Sporting came on stronger with Inácio making a long pass to Pedro Gonçalves who elegantly bypassed Salibá but then shot wide The balance was the dominant note but Arsenal opened the scoring from a set piece Fabio Vieira and Saliba's header gave the English team a 1-0 lead A rather confusing shot inside the lion's area with Zinchenko's clear grip on Mateus Reis The lions didn't feel the goal and Gonçalo Inácio shot from a distance after an persistent move Although in Portugal the currency is the Euro and in England it is the Pound the lions responded in the same currency Also through singing Gonçalo Inácio with a precise strike equalized the score and caused the Alvalade stands to erupt for the first time Outside the area Marcos Edwards tried to put the lions in front but Matt Turner once again shone in the goal for the Londoners and prevented the second off-sporting In the second half Martinelli tried to score against Adan but it was the Spanish goalkeeper's turn to shine in the lion's goal Until the 55th minute after a persistent attack with Marcos Edwards delivering a brilliant pass to find Pedro Gonçalves The match ended with Turner's defense and on the rebound Paulinho scored with a header to put Sporting ahead 2-0 The third could have come right after but Paulinho after a perfect counterattack wasted it with Matt Turner just in front Whoever doesn't score suffers and in a very lucky move for the English Chaka tries a pass but the ball bounces off Maurita and Arsenal equalizes with a high shot at goal At the start of the play a clear foul on Pedro Gonçalves is not called Everything is open for the second-hand game that is played in London next Thursday
