Good morning, we have a couple of days left in Turkey right now it's hard to
believe we've been here for three months already. We're gonna be off to a new
location but today we're gonna start off with trying to explore around Antalya a
little bit. It's not gonna be a very long day we're gonna have to combine footage
over a couple of days here because we think we've destroyed Angela's feet over
the last two days. I have a bunch of blisters my calves are cramped right up
so we're gonna take a short walk around Antalya today to do a little bit of
exploring.
Behind me is the gorgeous Hadrian's Gate. It was built in 130 CE to welcome the
Roman Emperor Hadrian here to the city. It's also one of the last pieces of the
wall that used to surround this city that's still standing.
This beautiful minaret behind me was built in the 14th century. It's 125 feet
tall and back in the day before they had the loudspeakers that announced the
call to prayer somebody would climb up there five times a day and sing the call
to prayer to all the faithful.
How gorgeous is that? The view from up here is unbelievable the cliffs there's
mountains far in the background you can't see it the water is blue and clear
as can be and then there's this marina with all these little old boats and the
walled town behind it. It is so picturesque, cute as can be.
One of the best things about being in Antalya this time of year is we've been
told that it's the season for all of this fresh fish. So let's give it a try.
It's so fresh, very flaky, very simple, nice grilled fish. It's delicious.
Alright so we're gonna try out this casserole right now. We're gonna let you know how this is.
It's awesome. It's very spicy, it's fresh, it's full of vegetables.
So we right now are in the middle of old-town Antalya which is because it's
so gorgeous obviously packed full of tourists and I'm sure you've seen us in
many other places where we've kind of wandered into someplace that is very
close to a lot of the major tourist attractions and end up with food that is
meh at best like really not great. This was not the case here. The food was
absolutely top-notch, excellent. We really enjoyed our lunch here.
Alright we think Angela's had enough walking for one day. She's a little sore so we're
gonna take her back to the hotel room so she can get some rest. So we will see
you guys in the morning. So today is our very last day in Turkey. The weather is
great. It's mid-November and it's about 24 degrees Celsius out. We've got a
flight really late tonight. The flight leaves about 2.30 in the morning so we've
kind of run ourselves ragged the past couple days through Fethiye and Antalya
so we thought we would have a nice relaxing day at the beach. We walked
past one yesterday. We saw it. It looked gorgeous so we're on our way. It's Sunday
morning. From our hotel room last night we could tell that it was a pretty fun
Saturday night for a lot of people. We stayed in but as you can probably see
behind me the streets are absolutely deserted this morning. Nice quiet Sunday.
So we've made it here to the beach. We don't want you to feel like there's
nothing to do in Fethiye or Antalya. We're just a little bit beat so we're
gonna kind of relax today. There is a ton to do in these areas so
do some research on this place. It's absolutely beautiful. We're gonna go
enjoy some water now. So we got here early enough to get our pick of the
sunbeds. We got some on this cute little deck that's right over the water. So
we're gonna hop in. Hope it's not too cold. Alright a couple hours at the beach
we're about sunned out right now. We are gonna apologize for not showing you
guys more of Antalya while we were here because there's a ton to do. However we
have to get back to the room and pack and try and get some kind of sleep
because we have a flight at two o'clock in the morning. So we're gonna get out of
here. So please leave a comment down below and do not forget to like and
subscribe to see what happens next.
