Mixed Tropical Plant Planter - Crotons | Fan Palms | Begonias & More!

This was supposed to be out yesterday but the whole filming the plating in slow-motion through things off for editing. Woops! Here I am planting houseplants / tropical plants with each other & various annuals. With the Chinese Fan Palm as the centerpiece I used a colorful Croton on each side to add contrast and vibrancy. The annuals I used here are the Iconia Begonias, Creeping Jenny, Purple Wave Petunias and a couple of Dusty Millers. This looked so much better before I broke the begonia! The Iconia Begonias are rather delicate so I will have to remember that next time. All of these plants like full sun but can also take part sun to part shade, though it will effect the growth habits and flowering of the plants. If I need to I will swap out the begonia for a sunimpatien or hibiscus plant. How to grow croton plants is really quite easy since they are so versatile and make for an excellent accent plant when grown outdoors. I really enjoy combining houseplants / tropical plants together to make a nice miniature tropical garden! The color combination of the coral pink, purple, orange and green is fun and inviting as well as perfect for my home and garden aesthetic.
