Hi everybody, welcome to the Waldock Way. I'm Jessica. In this video I'm going to show you
all of the fairy tale books that I promised I would show you on the morning basket video that
I did on Monday. If you haven't seen that I will link it up here for you to be able to go check
that out. So these are going to be some of the read-aloud books that I'm going to be doing with
her throughout the month. They're extra so if we don't get to them it will not be the end of the
world. The ones in the morning basket are the ones I definitely want to get to. So this is the
Happily Ever After series. So it's after the fairy tale. There's a lot more of them than the
ones I have here. They just haven't come into the library yet. So we have The Three Little Pigs Go
Camping, The Ugly Duckling Returns, The Frog Prince Hops to It, Red Riding Hood Takes Charge,
Goldilocks and the Just Right Club, and The Fairy Gommeller Takes a Break. And I'm going to show
inside this one so that you can see the reading level. So there's about five chapters. Actually
Emily may read this one. This is about or maybe we'll do it together. That would be the reading
level of those. And then this is another series that I'm actually really excited to read aloud.
I've seen a few of them and think it would be really fun. And they're supposedly the true
story. So this is Rump, The True Story of Rumpelstiltskin, Jack, The True Story of Jack
and the Beanstalk, Red, The True Story of Red Riding Hood, and Grump, The Fairly True Tale of
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This one is the one that I saw, which is what made me go looking
for the rest of them. And this was included in one of the Owlcrate Juniors a few months ago,
I believe. Just so that you can see inside one of these. And it looks like it has about 30 chapters.
And that's the reading level. All right, now on to the picture books, which the stack is
pretty large. I will do my best to show them to you and also get through them quickly. These are
the Usborne Peak Inside of Fairy Tale. I almost did not buy these because they were peak inside
and I thought for sure they were way beneath Emily's level. And my wonderful book lady pushed
and pushed and pushed until finally I said, you know what, if you think they're that beautiful
because you have wonderful taste in books, I'm going to get them. And so I got them all and I'm
so glad I did. They are I guess laser cut is the word. So I'm not even gonna be able to show you
but they're beautiful. They have lift the flaps. They have these beautiful laser cuts. It's just
gorgeous. Like there's no other way for me to describe them than they're just absolutely
beautiful. Because they're intricate. It's not your standard lift the flap that has just this
beautiful intricate look at that door that's all cut out. I'm hoping that we put these up
in a hope chest for Emily's daughter one day. Anyway, so we have Peak Inside of Fairy Tale
Cinderella, Peak Inside of Fairy Tale Sleeping Beauty, Peak Inside of Fairy Tale Little Red
Riding Hood, Peak Inside of Fairy Tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Peak Inside of Fairy
Tale Beauty and the Beast. And I have to show you this one because again that is that intricate.
I don't even know if you can see the amazing detail that that is. Okay, I also picked up
the Princess and the Land of Fake Belief because I think Emily will think these are hilarious.
So I have Moldy Locks and the Three Bears, Little Red Quacking Hood, The Three Little Pugs,
and Jack and the Snack Stop. And just so that you can see one of these it's kind of like a graphic.
There's only about four chapters. Very colorful like a graphic novel but it's short.
All right, I also grabbed the read with Usborne. Some of these are level two. I think there's one
level three. I grabbed all the ones that were fairy tale themed. So I have Jack and the Beanstalk,
Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, The Little Mermaid.
I also have the Princess and the Pea but Emily has it right now. And then this was just a reader
I picked up at the library, The Frog Prince. All right, this is Walt Disney's Cinderella retold
by Cynthia Rylant. I have a few of hers in here because they're beautiful in the traditional Walt
Disney story that Emily will be used to. So the Walt Disney Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
retold by Cynthia Rylant. The Sleeping Beauty one, the Beauty and the Beast one, and I think
that's the last one I have. Then I also grabbed some of the ones that were like the opposite.
So this is Sleeping Bobby, The Princess and the Pea. This, I cannot wait for this book,
I'm actually really excited. So this is called Fairy Tale Feast. It's a literary cookbook for
young readers and eaters. So most of these stories are retold and then at the end of the stories
it has a recipe. So you can see here it's broken up into breakfast, lunch, soups, dinners and
desserts. So you have the magic pot of porridge and so it tells you the story and then after you've
the story of that and the bravery of eggshells and just a few other breakfast ones it gives you
the like there's eggs in a cradle. So there's the recipe that goes along with it. So we can
read this story, Diamonds and Toads, and then we can make Very French Toast. So I cannot wait,
I think this is gonna be really really fun. Now I'm gonna try to schedule to read the breakfast
ones and make breakfast and then lunch and dinners as that kind of goes through. Cinderella's Rat,
Snow White and the 77 Dwarfs, Rapunzel, Hansel and Gretel, The Emperor's New Clothes,
sorry that one had a really bad glare, Cinder's a Chicken Cinderella, that's a Jan Brett book.
All right this is my last stack guys. So Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs by Mo
Williams and we love absolutely anything by Mo Williams, The Three Ninja Pigs,
La Princess and the Pea, Falling for Rapunzel, Jack and the Beanstalk and the French Fries,
The Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, Cinderella, The Princess and the Peas and Carrots,
The Little Mermaid, Prince Ribbit, Kate and the Beanstalk, and then Rapunzel. And so that is
everything I have for fairy tales as of right now. I think there's only a few more coming from
the library but they're extensions of what you've already seen like the rest of a series. I hope you
enjoy this and don't forget to subscribe because if you love books I will be back with more.
