Hi everybody, this is Kevin from Exponix, and this is my hydroponic herb garden, and I'm going to break it down for you guys really quick.
For the tote, it's just a plastic tote that I got at Home Depot, 15 quarts. It's like five dollars.
So I just spray painted it gray to make sure that no light comes through because you're going to get algae growth if light comes
through. And when I spray painted it, I put a piece of tape here
so I can see through to see what the water level is like to know if I need to change the water. On top,
I just drilled eight holes with a two-inch hole saw, threw some net pots in there, and
threw some hydroton clay pellets in as well.
Then I rinsed off my herbs, and I planted them in there.
Underneath,
we just have the water, which has some general hydroponics, flora grow nutrients in there, and an aquarium air stone
with an airline that's connected to an air pump so the roots don't drown in the water.
That's really all there is to it.
All you have to do to take care of it is just
keep filling the water up, keep it under some lights, or keep it out in the sun, and
you've got fresh herbs year-round.
So if you want to check this tutorial out, it's in the video description,
and if you didn't understand anything about what I just said,
download the ebook because it makes it really simple, and I break it down in a little bit more detail.
All right, thanks guys.
