Shopping For Plants at Walmart & Home Depot
I just needed ONE Creeping Jenny! ... No luck! Follow me around Walmart while I search for a new Ozark Trail tumbler and some creeping jenny plants! Shopping at Walmart for plants in the summer is usually a great time to find clearance plants and products. I really enjoyed the Coneflowers and lavender plants they had in the garden department. After shopping at walmart I went to Home Depot, again searching for creeping jenny, and checked out their plants. Shopping for plants at Home Depot is always fun because I never know what they will have in store. This time home depot had tons of succulents! Echeverias, sedums, sanseverias, sempervivums etc. they had so many succulents! After talking about the hydrangeas and tropical plants I went inside to look at houseplants and saw some cute false aralias, lots of pothos, mostly the pearls and jade pothos and philodendrons. They had a lot of nice looking peace lilies also, sometimes spathiphyllums don't look great at big box store garden centers but theirs were looking good and so were their rubber plants / ficus elastica. After letting everyone follow me around Home Depot garden center I went by a local nursery to check out their selection of plants. At the nursery I checked out their magnolia trees, some gorgeous umbrella pines and amazing bamboo plants! They had yellow grove bamboo and some huge Rubra clumping bamboos that I just loved! It's been a few days and I'm still thinking about that Cordyline fruticosa 'Singapore Twist'... wasn't that a cool plant? I might have to go back and get it. I love how that cordyline has charecteristics of a bird of paradise and travellers palms but is a smaller houseplant. Love it! I didn't find any creeping jenny or houseplants so I went home and gave some updates about life and my fish. Shopping for plants can be risky but i managed to control myself. I do plant on going back to the nursery for that cordyline though!
