Morgan Wallen - Wasted On You (Dangerous: The Double Album)
Song: Wasted On You
Artist: Morgan Wallen
Album: Dangerous: The Double Album
"Wasted on You" is Wallen's fourth radio single from his Dangerous: The Double Album. Before its release as a single on March 7, 2022, "Wasted on You" topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart when the album was released in January 2021. Wallen wrote "Wasted on You" with Ryan Vojtesak, Ernest K. Smith, and Josh Thompson.
"Wasted on You" is said to be "a blend of trap snares and guitar twang and is thought to have a "modern" sound. The song is called the smoky heartbreak tune or a slow-burning track. Wallen sings "Wasted on You" from the perspective of a man mourning the time, money, and miles he wasted on a failed relationship. The song takes on a double meaning as Wallen also sings of drinking away his heartbreak.
In another aspect, the song is like a confession to people in the same situation. From there, "Wasted on You", at some point, brings the audience the feeling of sympathy, pain relief, encouragement, and comfort to continue loving and walking on the difficult life.
Let's watch the video and listen to this amazing song!

Lyrics: Wasted On You
(Written by: Morgan Wallen, Ryan Vojtesak, Ernest K. Smith, and Josh Thompson)
I don’t always wake up in the mornin’
Pour myself a strong one
Ah, but when I get lonely I do
Your memory gets burnin’
Lean back on the bourbon
Sure as hell can’t keep leanin’ on you
Looks like I’m learnin’ the hard way again
It’s all my fault
Yeah, I dropped the ball
You’re gone and I’m gone three sheets to the wind
Thinking ’bout all I’ve wasted on you
All of this time and all of this money
All of these sorries I don’t owe you honey
All of these miles on this Chevy, and prayers in a pew
All them days I spent wasted on you
Wasted on you
Yeah, I swore this one’d be different
My heart wouldn’t listen to my head and these boots on my feet
Looks like I’m learning the hard way again
That’s why I’ve been
Wasted on you
All of this time, and all of this money
All of these sorries I don’t owe you, honey
All of these miles on this Chevy and prayers in a pew
All them days I spent wasted on you
Wasted on you
Like this pile of your stuff that’s packed up in the back
Right down to the flame of this match
Wasted on you
Wasted on you
Wasted on you
Wasted on you
Wasted on you
All of this time, and all of this money
All of these sorries I don’t owe you, honey
All of these miles on this Chevy and prayers in a pew
All them days I spent wasted on you
Wasted on you
Wasted on you
Wasted on you
