Highlights: Leicester City - Blackburn Rovers | Emirates FA Cup 2022/2023

Leicester putting aside their Premier League struggles hoping to reach the quarter-final of the FA Cup for the third time in four years. And this is Dennis Pratt, in goes Tete, pairs with a save, Pratt, double save from the Blackburn keeper. Real threat here from Leicester, first for Tete and then for Pratt. Carter, Morton, stolen here by Fass, this is Barnes, Vardy wants the pass, Vardy gets the pass, Jamie Vardy stings the hands of pairs but no more. It's been a really frustrating season for 36-year-old Jamie Vardy, not too many starts, handed one tonight and goes close. Dolan's done well, look at the space here for Smodic's chance, Sammy Smodic's denied by Iverson who didn't have to work in all honesty too hard to keep out the Smodic shot. But look at the positioning there of Amati, the centre-back, all over the place. Header on by Gallagher and Smodic's in the clear, Dolan unmarked in the middle if he can find him, Dolan, Iverson with another big save with his feet but Tyrese Dolan knows he should score here, stays nil-nil, Amati, stolen here by Dolan, now can he make up for the miss, Tyrese Dolan, yes he can and Blackburn fully merit this lead. Poor out from the back from Amati and Dolan takes full advantage, Championship side lead at Premier League Leicester through Tyrese Dolan. Impressed really well all evening, they look ill at ease, Leicester, Hedges, what a miss, Ryan Hedges, clear sight of goal, poor again from Leicester at the back, should be two down, big, big let off for the Premier League side. Thomas, great challenge from Gallagher, he's got Travis in support here, Sam Gallagher but he's going to look left, Blackburn threatened again, Smodic surrounded by blue shirts but he's still there and scores, remarkable. Sammy Smodic doubles Blackburn's advantage, it all came from that superb challenge from Gallagher, found the pass for Smodic but look how many blue shirts are here, they're not strong enough, they're not committed enough, they're not hungry enough, Sammy Smodic most certainly was, Leicester nil, Blackburn two, they're not prepared to sit on their two nil lead here, Blackburn, this is Smodic, they might get a third, Smodic, denied by Iverson, huge save at this moment in the cup tie from Daniel Iverson, Smodic so close to his second goal, great pass, finds Barnes in the clear, becoming more of an influence on the game now, Harvey Barnes, can he find someone in the middle, yes he can, Kelechi Iheanacho continues his brilliant goal scoring career in the FA Cup, his 18th goal in the competition, Barnes with all the spade work and Leicester right back into this tie, perfect assist from Barnes, Travis, well he's found Smodic, flag staying down for now, Sammy Smodic and he scored, but the assistant has the flag up, a delayed flag, Smodic denied a third Blackburn goal, just about the right call, but it was tight, what a game he's had, Smodic, Fas, strong run from the back, Barnes, here's Iheanacho, he'll have a go, Tez would expect to make that save, but tested nevertheless by substitute Kelechi Iheanacho, Dewsbury Hall with a corner, flick on is good, in goes Mendy, what a strike that was from Nampalis Mendy, for a good way in its travel, it looked like it was going in, time running out here for the Premier League side, in by Dewsbury Hall, Amati and the woodwork saves Blackburn, so close to taking it to extra time, Daniel Amati, but the pressure builds on Leicester and their manager Brendan Rodgers, how are you doing? I'm everywhere, you need to do, you need to get better people to cover your videos, I have a feeling there's going to be contender for top of the league, let's give it a try, I think I've just fallen in love.
