Live music, history, and seafood on an island. I'm in. I'm Nikki and this is Jason. We sold
everything, bought an RV, and hit the road. Let the adventure begin. Dolphin Island is a 14-mile
stretch of sand. It has history and stories that go back three centuries. The island attracts
history buffs and bird watchers from all over. Today we're here for the music. We're staying
at the campground. It's just a short walk to the festival. Yes, there's even a campground on this
tiny island. It's the first seagrass music festival and we hear there's going to be some
big talent. This is an awesome spot for a music festival. Fort Gaines is a surreal backdrop for
the music and the locals can fill you in on some of its history. In between bands is the perfect
time to drink and eat yourself silly. The food is all local dives so it's almost as much a food
festival as it is music. As the day turns to night the people slowly fill the space
waiting for big names such as Sarah Watkins and Ricky Skaggs.
Who knew a small island could throw such a big event?
