Nikola Jokic TOP Plays Of The 2022-23 Season...So Far! | Pt.2

You just see there, my goodness! It's a circus! Number 2, between his legs, right through the wicket. That's an unbelievable pass. Here's the thing, Jokic saw this play before he even caught the ball, so it was just a matter of delivering. 1-16, 1-16, 10 seconds to go. Two-man game. Gotta go. Jamal Murray to Jokic. Jokic backs up for the win! Pick and roll, hard roll. That's what Brian heard in the other game. That was Brian at 29, Saturday at Sacramento, and that's the 101st dunk. Same thing, spin backwards. Look at all the bodies come over there. Chrissy losing, Toscano-Anderson loses. Side of Gordon. The only person that didn't was the person in the manor, and that was Nicole. Gordon is in the lane. Gordon all the way, getting to Jokic, and he couldn't convert it. Two-man game between the four and the five for the Denver Nuggets. A.G. lays it right into the hand of Nicole Jokic. Return at the base. Jokic, underneath the corner, puts it in there. All right, Sean, put a radar gun on this pass. It was like Justin Berlander the other night. I had some heat on it. Kispert, turn, shoot, short. Another rebound. Jokic has a double-double. He's 18th. Oh, no! What a pass, KCP! A slider from midcourt. Running in transition. Look at KCP. What an angle on that pass from Nicole Jokic. Perfectly delivered on target. Ingram steps into a contested three over Gordon. McCollum trying to save. Here comes Jokic. This guy is unbelievable. This is seven-footer, folks! Splitting two defenders and getting an and-one opportunity. No one getting in front of him there. Just trying to stay on the side. I'm really, really excited about the way this is going to finish. Jokic gets past Davis and throws it down. Says, that's in your face, Richard. Oh, there's my guy on the rush. Got to get Jokic going, but they're doubling him every time. Cross-court sling, and KCP. It's going to be a four-point opportunity. See, double cut. And see, he gives himself a better angle. The cutter also, Jeff Green. You get a point against you, because that used to drive you nuts. So they are tracking that all season long, as KCP delivers. Big bucket. So Jokic delivered the pass for a layup to Green, which he missed, unsurprisingly. He was absolutely perfect. 49, 40-point knife. There's a ball and a pass. A look away. Christian Brown puts it off the glass with a great Jokic assist. A look at Jokic here, makes a pass. Moran just misses the steal, but it's a second assist already for Jokic. Moran has four early turnovers. That pass was terrific. 31-point win last night. The biggest margin of the season for the Denver Nuggets. Pass cut. And Jokic gets his ninth assist. They close out. Good defense. Jokic, the rebound. He's got Brown out there. Touchdown, Nuggets. Coming up. I don't know if everybody realizes the difficulty in a pass like this and the accuracy of Nikola Jokic, Bruce Brown. Nikola. He's got a good arm. One-handed, just perfect. Navigating. Murray Jokic. Jokic put it up and in. Nikola Jokic with his 25th point. He was expecting. Jeff Green is in the corner. Look at all the white jerseys around him. Again, behind the back. In terms of fast break points, has 17. That was beautiful. Maybe we've ever seen. Look at this. He is as good as we have seen. I think the Ceponas family may have something to say on that. Finney Smith picked up his second. Way, way out. Way, way short. Pass to Jokic. Collects it behind the back. And back comes Jokic. Whips it to Gordon. Did you see that pass? Man. See, I don't get that with Mike Green. He doesn't have that in his game. How about this pass though? Look away. You've got to trust your receiver, but you also have to understand that they know it's coming at any time. Beautiful feed. But I'm more impressed with it. 22 games now where he's been in double figures. Good player. Jokic coming in. Over the shoulder to Gordon. What a beauty. We saw Rudy come cheating from that weak side. Bias Jones winning that one. Now, if we had the highlight of your dunk, we would have a fulfilling night. I mean, Jokic is putting on a show, passing the ball. That's why this guy is averaging nine assists. Started for the team. It's December 15, 2016. It was ten days ago where they celebrated the anniversary. And if you look at Jokic. Isolation look now at the mid-post. Jokic with that back down. Strews trying to come over. It's all Jokic against Adepayo. Jokic winning that battle. His footwork is unbelievable. The way that he uses his fake game but also his pivot foot. Slides right around JaVale McGee. A classic up and under. And McGee can't cover that much ground. And then a bad pass. He runs it down and then behind his back right perfect to Brown again. I mean, that's a – first of all, just to be able to catch the ball. Most centers aren't even catching that ball. That's going out of bounds. Okay, see his defense pretty tight here. Jokic hook pass under to Gordon. And he ties it up at 120. Oh, Jokic. And just an all-around struggle again for the Lakers. I hate to keep harping on it, but I'm going to harp. This team is not a great three-point shooting team. Look at this dime, just the most beautiful dime. Doesn't even pick it up. That's a left-hand dime. Better than guys half his age. You can even add more. Use all the fractions. Double team. What a pass by Jokic to Gordon. Dropped by Jokic here, Mark. And I held on to the great Bill Walton as long as I possibly can as far as being the best pass. Almost a second straight turnover. Jokic. He looks up to see how much time he has. I know they can look. Takes another glance at it. Sees how much time. Great clock awareness. But off the one-legged, off the just money. It's a joke. Good back cut. Good steal. Look at that. Jokic has it. To Murray. Jokic on the run. And he puts it. Jokic the two-time MVP. Jokic has it now against Bam. Nine to shoot. Jokic in against Bam. He's doubled around the corner. He goes. And he lays it in. Nifty footwork by the big Serbian. He's got 15 here in the first half. Westbrook missed it. Baseball pass to Porter. And he puts it away. Porter steaming. A water polo pass right there. There's got to be. Serbian water polo team has had to have called him and said, Can you swim? Serbian water polo team. One of the great water polo teams. The other one is the Lakers got to put him in a position to be aggressive. Jokic knocks it down. 31 for Jokic. That's the one. Passes do it all. And we're going to watch it. If Anthony Davis can't guard this, nobody in the league can. Final 15 seconds. Murray to Jokic. Jokic under the corner. And he puts it away. Shades of Mason Plumlee on the reverse. Beautiful ball is popping offense for the Denver Nuggets. He's been really kind of the zone buster, playing in the middle of that zone. He does that that time. No, no. What a dive. What a dive past the ear of Kyle Anderson. Rico Bair comes to double. What can you do? Cutting back door. Less than four minutes to go. Murray trying to shake Sohan behind the back to Jokic, who slams it through. Throw it down. Just make sure you come away with the basket. Jamal Murray. Trying to get by Murray over the fox. Chased off. Lets it go. And Jokic to rebound. Baseball pass to Porter. He's got to dunk it. He hurries. Inside. Lay it up. Backhanded. And scores. Obviously, it's a team effort defensively, but shout Aaron Gordon. Another assist for Jokic. Bruce Brown scores his 20th point. Nicole Jokic gets the one-on-one matchup. And Bruce Brown, he's had a couple of those cuts the last few games where he's been able to get easy buckets off of just a little give and go with Nicole Jokic. Stood since 1979. And Aaron Gordon saving the ball, keeping it alive. Somehow just ends it up in the Joker's hands. And then great finish. At second most, they make 16, second most, both of the Warriors. Yeah, if they get an open one from three, they're taking it. Pass by Jokic is a beauty. And Gordon gets the dunk. Low and got out of the basket, but Tatum reached in. Double your guys. See him come get Joker. He will fall back, and Gordon has benefited from the double teams of Nicole Jokic. The G League ignite. Murray falls down. Whip it under. The rim. Advantage. Murray goes down. Joker, same thing, just quick. Making a big impact here. Getting the play close to home. Highest career assist average of any center in NBA history at 6.4. Isn't that amazing? Steven Silas talked about his young team and how they're learning on the job. Remember, they've won two in a row and three of their last five. Oh, an aerial attack. Guy on him, and he gets called. Look at this. I mean, that's a tough pass to handle, and I don't know how he did it. This is going to be a technical on someone on the bench. A chin-goo. Yeah. Murray gives it to Jokic. Five to shoot. Jokic fading away. Yes! Nicole Jokic in the pressure cooker. Nails it. Jokic. Oh! Jokic accentuating on the movement. Back in. He's going to try to time that little backhand. See a push. Second push. Didn't know he was going to shoot it, so he just shoots. There's the one push. Now, see the hands in there? He turns. Boom. Really haven't been getting into the offense much. Jokic trying to spin. Slows it. Drops it home. He thought he got undercover. Thought he got hit. He's looking at James Williams. Nothing. Dibs there. That's a foul. No call. Oh, see that arm go out and hit him in the face? James Williams right there. That's a foul. He got fouled twice. Fast break points per game. Right now on a 10-2 run. Jokic working from the nail. Fade away. Count it. Oh, the joke's on you, Los Angeles. MVP. Takes the contact. Skilled big man. Raindrop jumper. Going to the line for the possibility. That's just a – nothing you can do. Come on now. Larry Martin is there for kind of a knee into the lower body of Jokic. Jokic beautiful pass. Down inside. How did he find Aaron Gordon? Go ahead. Aaron Gordon, he said his role for the team. He passed down floor with 13 seconds to go. Bruce Brown. Gets trapped, makes a tough pass. But how about the joker? Now Culver who's been important early. Lob it up. And the dunk is missed. Rebounded by Jokic. Long pass. Bones has it. And Bones lays it up and in. So great to have Bones Highland back. He had missed three games because of non-COVID illness. Four less in the first half. And the Nuggets won three of them. Long pass Murray. And Murray lets everybody fly by. Basket counts foul. I don't know if Jokic would get an assist on this play, but that is a heck of a play. Gordon 60 points in the last two games. In the last 10 games he's shot 60% or more. KCP for three. Yes. Jokic called while poke. A three-point opportunity. Catch tip. And if they can get Jokic. Nuggets six of 13, but they've committed four turnovers. Jokic going to be doubled again. The open man is Brown. Brown. Yes. So there's a lot of additions to this team. Murray didn't play many games with Aaron Gordon. So it's just going to be an impressive stretch there. And you see this when you can start a fast break. Nuggets shot 60% in that first half. The fourth time the Nuggets have done that. Tip pass. It's a beauty. And KCP delivers. To the bucket. Right here, KCP. Nicole Jokic tips that to himself, then tips it to KCP. Lakers by two. Porter with a nice deflection. Give him the steal. Murray. And Murray lays it up and in. The Nuggets back to their starting lineup. Watch zone here for the Portland. Jokic doubled. Rips through and lays it up and in. If you're open, you will hit the ball. Here's Jamal Murray, coach, who is just getting better and better. Look at that diamond. Ignition. He'll have a chance at three. Jokic didn't have it in his hands very long. Intercepted by Murray. And to Jokic. Look out below. Tenth up. Murray in the lane. Back to Jokic. Westbrook went down. Porter for three. Big shot here. Got it. Very efficient. Must have been that Dempsey interview early. Down to the corner. Najee for three. Yes! Nozick Najee. They're going to call that a two-pointer. But good enough. 96-79. But the big thing right now is also patience. Patience with an open shot. What a backdoor cut by Hyland. Jokic finds him. Normally this is when you would stagger your stars, keep one of them in the game. Gordon assists Jokic. Number nine. Aaron Gordon, before the game, we talked. The lead continues because he's not going to play a lot in the second half. And there's that scoring. And Gordon is right down there again. And they have not been able to stop him. Jokic sets up KCP. That's it! KCP hits the three. And there it is. Another triple-double for the great one, Nikole Jokic. 24, make it 28, 14, and 10 in 35 minutes. His 10th triple-double of the season. His 86th. Incredible finish. And already down to a nine-point lead. Obama's going to check in and take the plays of Jaron Jackson as you watch that play again. Bruce Brown, 50% from the field. Contagious call. Will Pope is leading the NBA in three-point percentage. And it's all because of number 15. The way he plays is contagious. And he gets the three. There you go. All right. It's 96-89. That's what you need to know. Jokic, some more shuffle. At the other end, converts. Quick outlet to Gordon. And some room service. And two fly-bys. The joke is, this is after a made shot. Coast-to-coast pass. Murray around the screen. Back out. Jokic, pump fake. In the lane. Great pass. Boy, what discipline and patience for Jokic on the bounce. We'll see if you want to challenge. We'll go back to offense here really quick. Such a great pass from Nikoli Jokic. It looked like he was going to kick it out to a shooter, Jamal Murray, in the corner. But instead, Aaron Gordon was wide open. Nuggets coming into this game really fresh. Giddy inside. JRE back the way. Porter Jr. ahead of the pack will lay it up and in. What they talked about in that timeout was defensive energy. You've seen it earlier. A couple turnovers by Denver's defense. Tight roping and a beautiful dish. Let's get the lead back right here. Over to Porter. Porter pumps. And hits again. He's in a good rhythm, Scott. He can feel it. And he loves that corner. Porter is in. Jokic. Bones, Highland. Wow. What a miss. Jokic a bit peed. Well, it didn't give him the ball. Tritus held the ball. You're not supposed to. It was a travel. It was a turnover. Don't forget. Dickin. And it's coming up. And Nikola Jokic throws it down. Just pretty good right there. Tyrese Halliburton leading the NBA in assists, followed by Trey Young. And Jokic is third. And a bounce pass. There's number nine for Nikola Jokic. And Brown scores his 11th point. But Gordon goes flat on it. You see right here, just an easy cut bounce pass. That's number nine. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, one of two hyphenates in the starting lineup. The alley-oop to Gordon. And he goes high to get it. So, Gordon off to a fantastic run here. Watch how high this pass is. I said, oh, that's going to be too high. Up there by that corner of that square. You know Gordon could go up and get it. Will Nikola Jokic get another triple-double tonight? Back cut. There it is. Missed three straight with an ankle. Jokic is yet to take a shot. Porter looks good, is good. MP long J, and it's 18-4 Denver. I think they're playing fast. And you get them in transition, how good is the defense? Michael Malone says, we want to get out there, get some. All right, keep an eye on that. Jokic has it high post. Lob it in to Gordon, who slams it through. Coming into this game, Denver could take advantage. Right here you see a great pass from Nikola Jokic. Sky high Aaron Gordon to throw it down. That comes from good screening action on the weak side, too, from Jamal Murray getting the defense to shift. Aaron Gordon. Jokic rebounding fine. He's got six of them, six assists, but no points yet. Davon Reed, yes. You've got to keep plugging him. Bones likes that. Great pass, and a back cut by Casey. Ninth rebound for Jokic. He's one rebound away. Yes, and a foul. Quite a show in transition. Good job by Bones. Hyland cutting through, drawing the defense with him so that Nikola Jokic would have some options, some lanes to make that pass. Christian Brown running the floor hard, and gets the and one out of it. Lower post. Jokic passing to Jeff Green. And Jeff Green, when he's in the game with Jokic, Jokic gets the rebound on a bounce. His first start at six of seven. Oh, and Brown slithering to the goal. And KCP hustles up the rebound, right where he should have been. He'll stop and pop. No, under. Gordon puts it away. For the Nuggets, passing has been crisp so far. He went to the rim. And that was a good find by DeMar DeRozan. That's the pass that DeAndre Jordan would not make. Tipped away, yes. Brown's got it. Jokic on the run. Border's hot. He lets it go again. And MPJ is lighting it up, folks. Gladcoe, if he can hang on to it. Jokic to beat the clock. Fires a three. Got it. Nicola Jokic from distance. Corner three. O'Donovan misses, and Jokic taps it to himself. Wrongly passed. Bruce Brown up. Have their first lead of the game. Here's the right. Passes off. Good look for three. No. Jokic has it. Nicola Jokic averaging 22 and a half. Great bounce pass to Brown. A good catch in traffic for BB. That left hand. There's that bounce pass to Bruce Brown a while ago. Jokic at third. Tips it to himself. Down the middle to Brown. And he puts it. Bruce Brown. And we're tied up at 40, so Jokic comes back in. There's the shooting. Red hot. Scorching hot. Jokic, three-pointer. Yes! Missed it, and Jokic has the rebound. Baseball pass. KCP's got it. Lay it up, and in. Scrappy defense, and as soon as he can test that shot, he's off and running. Nicola Jokic turns and looks, sees him, right on target, right on time. Utah was able to put together an 11-2 run to giddy up there. Six shooting. Jokic trying to post up Bagley, just hands it. Jokic doubled to Brown. Jokic, snappy passing tonight, Scotty. Well, I know you're writing him down on the line. Take advantage of the frustrations that the trailblazers are having right now. A couple missed calls. Bagley's got some frustrations also as Murray into the lane. Thieves to an open green for three. Rebound Jokic. He's got five. Galloping. Jokic now with 19 first-half rebounds. That's the most he's ever had in an NBA game in one half. KCP, yes. Jokic with a beautiful pass there. Just his first assist. He's got 14 points. Caldwell Pope. Jokic by his man. Big shot. Brown. Got it. Kick out from Jokic to Bruce Brown. Brown we've talked about. OKC fans going nutty. Hate to shoot. They double Jokic. Down the middle to Blanco. And he puts it away. Timeout Thunder. You know Bruce Brown, big country music fan, and the two of them met when Jimmy Allen was in Denver, so a little country love there. Great pass. Three-pointer is off. Jokic another rebound. Long pass. Brown is out there. And he puts it away. What a pass by Jokic. Jokic's defense is scrambling right now. Knocked away. Jokic has it. I give credit to Brown. Jokic ahead to Murray. And Murray lays it up and in. I said it to somebody in the NBA the other day. I think Bruce Brown's the best free agent pickup in the game this past year. Absolutely. There's a great vision right there. Murray's going to let the fly-by happen. Off the dribble, one hand. Perfect pass. Perfect layup. Saw Jeff Green come in. Aaron Gordon gets a break. Lamola Ball also goes out. Jokic around the corner. Jokic is going to work over Nick Richards. Can they get it to Jokic here? They do. Jokic four on the clock. For the triple-double would be his fourth and his 80th quarter misses. Jokic has it. That could be his ninth rebound. We shall see. Caldwell-Paul plays it in. That's another assist. And his rim's out. Jokic takes off. He's got Valanchunas in the rearview mirror. Joker all the way. Score. And a foul. So far, so good for the young Utah Jazz. Jokic going to take his first three-pointer. No. He'll wheel into the key and lay it up and in. Trying to get that rip on him. Knew he wasn't going to be able to stay in front of him. Chance for the fast break. Murray's on the move. Oh, behind the back. Suddenly it gets to Brown. Now Jokic looking for the cutter. Oh, he's got KCP wide open. Good screen. Both guys stayed out to switch on Brown. And KCP just stepped into a layup. Shot clock, game clock, half-second. Murray to Jokic. Spin. Great pass. And Gordon flushes it through. Doesn't get much better than this offensively. Nikola Jokic draws the defense in. And Aaron Gordon. Six fouls. He was instrumental in getting that lead. Now Jokic hooks it into the lane. Bruce Brown with a steal. Give it to Jokic. Jokic on the run. Give it to Murray. Timeout, Utah. He leads all scores. Pass under to Gordon. Fantastic slip on that screen. Defense was focused on KCP along the three-point line. Value the basketball. Value this offensive possession, Aaron. Inside 90 seconds. Jokic. Down the middle to Brown. He puts it away. Much better physicality defensively since Coach Blom called that timeout. Fighting over screen. Yep. Jokic. And inside Brown puts it away. So, another assist for Nikola Jokic. Finishing through some contact and great passing from the Joker. Finding Bruce Brown under. And a four-point lead here. Nine of 14 from a three-point line. Hook pass under to Bones who lays it in. A nice pass by Jokic. A one-hander there. Kispert. A steward throw. And a pass under to Green. And Green, he hasn't taken a lot of shots, but every one of them has been kind of a highlight. And that's something that Coach Mike Malone raved about, who had him early on in Cleveland as an assistant coach. Aaron Gordon playing out of that dunker spot. Got one from Jokic. He's only been in foul trouble virtually the entire night. He's sitting on four fouls. Now Jokic has it. Wheels around right to Gordon. Gordon spoon-fed there. He's got Hastings. Now Jokic around the screen. And wide open. Bruce Brown. Three! And you go and just kick up your fifth foul. 17, 18 feet from the basket. Doesn't make a lot of sense. Jokic to Green. What a pass. Great delivery by Jokic. Good when they're good in the first quarter. Jokic rolls in. And a beautiful dish to Porter. Like spoon-feeding there. Knocked it away. Porter's there. And Porter lays it up and in. And Nikola Jokic. Bounce pass to Porter. And Porter lays it up. What a beautiful pass by Jokic off the bounce. Now the confidence just to be able to pull that off, really. 18 for Fox. Back cut for Murray. And the left-hand lay-in is good. And Nikola Jokic has a double-double. 16 points. Should be 10 assists. They haven't given it to him yet, but I think they will. Jokic tracks it down. Tense rebound for Nikola Jokic. With his 10th assist as well. From the Nugget logo. Thieves through Jokic. This time high post off a Caldwell-Kobe race by Mobley. But goaltending is gone. Go baseline. He chose to go baseline that way. But marketing too good there. Now it's stolen. And Gordon gets it back to Jokic. And the Nuggets, maybe a play like that. Good hustle by the Denver Nuggets after the steal. Aaron Gordon also back in the ballgame. Porter Jr. fires. Loose ball. Joker didn't even cook with his off hand, Mark, and tipped it. And rebounding collectively as far as individually. You're not going to win this size matchup. That's a big, skilled guy. And Joker grabbing the rebound with one hand, not even bringing it down and putting it back in. Jokic against Green. Nicola rainbows one over Draymond. And a foul. They're going to play a bunch of games on the road here coming up in the next couple of weeks. Look at these big men. I mean, that is a beautiful move by Jokic. Spurs got away with a storm right now. What a pass. Murray fires Jokic. That was sensational. Jokic calling the play, waving Caldwell-Kobe over. Now Jokic has it. Jokic against Pirtle. Four to shoot. Over the top he goes. Got it! Going to go quick. It looks like they're going to try to shoot a three. Jokic turns underneath with a hook shot. It's good. Killer foul. Final seven seconds. Brown going to race it up, hopefully. Nicola Jokic is on the run. Put it up and in with seven-tenths of a second to go. Hear the thunder here. Just settle into the game. Keep playing with that force and physicality. Jokic already with a season-high 33. Add two more, 35. Caldwell-Kobe gets it back in front of his net. And Jokic with a blocked shot and a rebound. And a smorgasbord of blocked shots tonight for the Denver Nuggets. What an issue. Take to the thing, try to go one hand. Jokic just gets enough to block it, gets the rebound. They get out in transition. They're protecting the paint. Left it a little bit short there. I think he wanted to look for Jokic, too. And Jeremy Grant did a great job down low. Simons on the baseline, blocked by Jokic. Nuggets have two on two. Jokic, the spin. And the Hornets have to call a timeout. Six to shoot. Murray's going to take the shot. Under Jokic, puts it up and in! Nikola Jokic with his 18th point to go with 11 assists and nine rebounds. Nine-point lead for Denver. Closed for the Denver Nuggets. Who can be clutched for the Denver Nuggets? Two of the best in the league in Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray. And now, get more games like this from MPJ. 40, they get 53 to 45. Jokic pinned. Got by his man. Down he goes. And there is a foul. Once again, the Nuggets get to within three, only to see the Hornets respond down the middle to Vladko. And a foul. What a precision pass to Vladko Chanchar. Cutting down the lane. Richards gets caught looking at him. Really calm yourself down a little bit. Nuggets have an opportunity here. Gordon's on the wing. Give it to Jokic. Down the middle. Goes! And he throws it down. They've moved up to 16th. So, Michael Malone was pretty happy about that. Here goes Porter. Lays it in with a foul. Right here. Jamal Murray doing a good job on Lillard. Closing that space, getting over that screen. Nikola Jokic cleans it up. And Michael Porter Jr. takes it all the way in. And Jokic with a good box out. The ball flies to Christian Brown. Great defense there from Bruce Brown. Getting all up in the space of Rogier. Jokic slow rolls it into the lane and drops it home. Speeds it up the floor. Finds an open look before the defense of the Nuggets even thinks about getting set. Jokic missed. Got it back. Puts it through. That fourth slot. Yes. Well, he's got a motor that just doesn't stop. But he's unable to put it down. Jokic, the bobble. And the finger roll. Just a thing of beauty from Jokic. As Murray, around the corner, backhands it to Jokic. He's got five to shoot. In on Carter. Little step back and he's got it. So Nikola Jokic on the run.
