Donchic on the drive, the love for power. Maxine Kleba still coming back from his hamstring injury. Good look inside by Anthony Davis to Schroeder for the layup. Anthony Davis, remember, missed 20 consecutive games. Donchic releases the three. And you can see immediately, they'll play a little drop. Luka's going to take advantage of that. He gets right to his three game, but Anthony comes right back and scores. Over to Kyrie, gives it back to Luka. One-on-one against Davis. Good contest by A.D. It didn't matter. Here's Beasley. Back to Davis inside. And finishes up high. Boy, Luka's on fire from downtown already. He's knocked down three threes. Beasley off to a slow start. He's 0 for 3 from deep. Irving fires. Butter. What a difference right there. Look at Kyrie push and get an early bucket. Reeves steps through. Whistle, foul. Count it. And one. There's a whistle there. And one. Josh Green guarding LeBron. LeBron put him in the weight room. So the Lakers are now 6 for 11 in the paint. Donchic kicks it out to Green for three. Made his earlier one. That's 2 for 2. You know, before he injured his elbow early in the season, some of the Mavericks people tell me he might have been a candidate for most improved. Back out to Christian Wood. Wide open. Bomba late on the closeout. And Wood made him pay. James. Sidestep. And blocked by Donchic. Picking cherries at the other end for the bucket. And Luka took a blow to the side at the end of the quarter. Wow. And room service for Kyrie Irving. He's got five in the ballgame. All the talk we're doing about all this productivity, I mean, it's coming in transition. It's coming in the post. It's coming in. LeBron going to get his like he does there. That bucket that Kyrie scored on the last possession, that was brilliant. And you saw Luka on the bench enjoying it too. He'll enjoy that three-pointer by Hardaway as well. Hardaway raises up. Oh, wow. That used all of the iron. Victory lap and then fell. James inside with the flush. Bruder lost a shoe. He blew a tire skating around. He got put on his knees like pregame chapel. Up and down they go. Man, Schroeder popped the clutch. Got the and one. And Dennis Schroeder with a chance for a three-point play. The Lakers trying to claw back. Morris knocks down the long jumper. Another three ball. Their 11th of the afternoon. There's Anthony doing work on the baseline. Luka in that elbow area. Schroeder digging. Out to Hardaway. Got it. Boy, Junior is stunting like his daddy right now. He's got 14. Here's Beasley on the break. They've got a three on one. Beasley raises up. Got the foul on Kyrie. And an opportunity for a three-point play. Good anticipation by Beasley. LeBron on the move. Puts his shoulder down. Bulldozes through for the and one. Kyrie up court. He's got 10. Did I say 13 or 10? Schroeder tried to rip through. Hits the corner. Vanderbilt from downtown. Laces the three. Great read by Schroeder. Lakers get possession off the jump. Vanderbilt got blocked by Holliday. Kyrie. Oh, LeBron on a cheap flight into the third row. Here's Davis with 10 on the shot clock. Raises up over Powell. Light work. Man, Powell stayed in front, Mark. Here's Brown. One more. Beasley trying to find it. Finally does. They ain't down the stretches. Anthony gets a jumper to go. Davis one on one over Powell. And one. Got it. James switches on to Luka. Luka put it on a platter and scored it. Kyrie for three. Knocks it home. James collects it. Up top, Davis. Boy, what a pass. And I just want to make the point about Jared Vanderbilt. Inside, there he is on cue, Doris Burke. Jared Vanderbilt, the recent acquisition. Vanderbilt with a little bit of pace. Oh, boy. Changed gears and scored it. Timeout, Dallas. Oh, Vanderbilt, great anticipation. And slams it home. Cut it down to nine. Luka got that packed. Lakers have a five on four at the other end. LeBron inside. Tough catch in traffic. Davis corrals it. What a dime to LeBron. And the lead is down to seven. Doncic is scratching his head. This is why you keep playing, Mark Jones. Oh, another spectacular bit of effort from Vanderbilt results in a Brown bucket. Oh, Davis just swallowed that, engulfed that shot. And a big-time outlet to Hardaway. Green, back to Hardaway. A shoot around three, and he knocks it home. But he comes up hobbling a little bit. Big-time follow by Vanderbilt. Like I said, he's everywhere on the court, all 94 feet. Here's Schroeder with a five-footer. Knocks it down. Luka into the lane. Got it. That's a big-time bucket right there. Great in-and-out dribble. And one. Schroeder with a shrewd move. Man, that was sweet. Be interesting to see next pass. What impact does it have on Luka's fatigue level? Luka turns the corner inside. And bully ball for the bucket. Davis inside with position. And it's a three-point game. Nice little tuck in. Back out to LeBron, who fires a three. And the Lakers have not hit the game at 81. LeBron steps through, fires. Man, the Lakers with the lead. LeBron just will that. Wood kicks it out. Green. Got it. And LeBron coming back the other way. Usually ends in the opponent's bucket. Beasley bombs away. Instead, the Lakers have battled back from down 27. But Kyrie, the artist at work. Come on now. Kyrie ices the screen. Schroeder with the floater in the lane. And the Lakers have regained the lead again. It's 89 to 88. Oh, Schroeder changed directions. Dime drop inside. Vanderbilt with a scoop. Here's Wood. Inside. And got the bucket. Went right around Anthony Davis. Wood with the pump fake. Got it blocked by Davis. And that's why Anthony Davis, when healthy, is one of the best players in the game. Reeves. Got inside for the layup. And the Lakers lead it by three. LeBron going to take out his do-it-yourself kick. Steps through. He's done that a couple of times for savvy buckets. Out to Bullock. Four on the clock for Holliday. Got it. Hits LeBron in the mid post. Going to walk down Bullock. Put him in the weight room and scored it. Out to Luka. Thought about the three. Steps through. Whistle foul. Count it. Then you see him stagger back. So, the gate isn't right initially. I think it's a story more for what it responds to post. But a great shot right there by Anthony Davis. Luka splits the double. They left him alone. And he makes him pay. This is usually where they run the lob. Great job by Powell to take it away. Austin Reeves from deep says, I got it. That's the dilemma, though. Inside. Kyrie. Whistle and a foul. Perfect free throw shooting since joining the Mavericks in a literal sense. He has not missed. Holliday for three. Air ball. And it's a one-point contest. Davis guarded by Luka. Got a size advantage. And there it is. That was an easy call. Anthony Davis with the easy deuce. Oh, Luka couldn't get the inbound pass. And the Mavericks turn it over. Foul by. To make it a two-possession game and a four-point lead. And that's what it is. Kyrie. Holliday hits the three. It's a one-point game. Get it into Schroeder. And Schroeder is going to outrace the defense. And Schroeder will go to the free throw line to try and put this game on ice. Schroeder puts the Lakers up three. Hardaway looks like he's going to inbound it. Gets it to Kyrie. 2.2 to go. Throws up the three. And the Los Angeles Lakers storm back. It's their biggest comeback since December 6, 2002 when they trailed Dallas by 30.
