EMMA'S ALLOTMENT DIARIES / THE SHED VLOG / PART 2

Hello again everybody, welcome back to part two of the shed vlog. So yesterday, if you haven't seen yesterday's vlog I will link it below, please go and check it out because it's part one of putting up our shed. So if you have seen that vlog you will know that we have put up half our shed. We're going back to the allotment today, thank god it's actually sunny and doesn't seem as windy today. So we're going to put on the roof, the door and the windows and the support beams. So fingers crossed it's a lot easier than yesterday, we don't have to take anything over there today so it really should be. And we're going to go over, quickly run, we're going to put the rest of the shed up and leave it at that I think today and then I'm going to treat it in a week or some time with some paint or something. We haven't decided what colour to paint the shed yet so we're still undecided aren't we? And in other news we've had a bit of a family tragedy and the hamster has died so we're going to take Louis the hamster to the plot to bury him yeah and then we'll be able to go and see him and remember him whenever we feel sad. Okay so you're going to look after him in the car, it's a bit stinky please don't open the box. Right yeah so we'll also be burying a hamster today. God it's still standing, it's still here, it's still very wobbly actually that is slightly concerning. It's rickety, it's wonky, it's wobbly, it's bouncy but it's still standing and that is the point. Oh we're speaking too soon. Put the bloody roof on now. See how much more organised I am with a bit of sleep and a bit of coffee? A bit of sleep and a bit of coffee. Am I back on the ball? No I know I left it here last night. There for the top, there for this, goes along there and then along that and then along the side. So nailing through the roof sheet into the battens, position the battens as shown. The battens should be positioned so that are flush on all sides of the roof sheet as shown. When fixing these use a nail at each end first to hold the batten in place. Place the batten. Why is this so bloody complicated? It's just a roof. I don't like the look of this cloud. Holy crap. The roof is on, it's wonky and quirky, I don't know if you can see. It's all tilting and inside that's like not straight but it's fine. I think it's in. No I can't, no it's gone in, it's gone in, it's definitely gone in. It's definitely gone in, I've seen it gone in. Look at this, gaps. But you know what, it's an allotment shed and it doesn't matter, it doesn't have to be perfect. No that babe, we don't want him to get wet. No please do not, just a shower. Whose toilet roll is that? Mine. Why are you hiding in here? You should be out there like a man. Right so now we're hiding in the shed because it's decided to rain. They said it wouldn't rain today and it's just completely poured. Someone does not want us to build this bloody shed do they? Storm has passed and we're just putting the felt onto the roof now. The kids are off somewhere playing hide and seek and we destroyed the felt a little bit, well I destroyed the felt a little bit but we're fine, we've corrected our mistake and we're back on track again. So I think now we've just got to put some panels around the side and the shed is finished, thank god. This is all like thick mud now so we're gonna have to do something about that if it's going to be a bit of a walkway as well. But yeah look at this, looking good, looking like an actual shed on the plot now. It's really good every night. You were very good at the monkey, very funny in your ball. What's that? Oh yeah. And you were a very happy hamster. Stop it shed. Right it was a great success at the plot today so I'm gonna leave it there. Thank you for watching and oh yeah okay. I'm sorry I've ruined it.
