House Republicans promised to bring real solutions to the table this session. We're doing just that. In this video update, Rep. Andrew Barkis, R-Olympia, gives a high level briefing of the recent rollout of the House Republican 2021-23 operating budget proposal framework. This budget framework represents fiscal conservancy by continuing to fund vital state services and programs, while not raising taxes on anyone or anything. It also proves a strong, fiscally conservative budget can be prepared at the early stages of session to provide transparency and give lawmakers and the public plenty of time to review and vet the document, ask questions and provide feedback that can be used as the actual budget-writing process begins.
