EMMA'S ALLOTMENT DIARIES / MARCH 2020 PLOT TOUR

I literally just did the whole intro and I wasn't even recording so I was quite literally talking to myself in a shed. Good morning everybody welcome back to my channel my name is Emma if you're new around here bloody door. Don't hold it I'm sorry. My name is Emma if you're new around here I'd love for you to subscribe I am documenting my first ever allotment plot it's going really really well. Oh we're having lots of fun doing it up it's very windy today I do Right I'm pretty sure there's going to be people coming any minute because it's nine o'clock on a Sunday morning and it's sunny it might be windy but people don't care about the wind they care about the rain it seems because whenever it rains no one's ever here except me. Right you might have heard that the kids are now at home that is true I am still going to try and get down here as much as I can. I think I'm allowed here because it is quite isolated here and there's not a lot of people and it's quite open so I think I'm allowed to be here do correct me if I'm wrong um it's only Sunday today though so but I'm putting this up next Friday God that's confusing. Right today I have brought some um uh plants for the pond I've never planted anything in the water before but I brought all the stuff for it so fingers crossed that's going to work out okay so I'll put some plants in the pond also my kids brought me something for Mother's Day it's Mother's Day today by the way happy Mother's Day mum can't see you unfortunately kidding kidding oh every every cloud eh right I'm kidding I love my mum right this is what the kids brought me bloody door what's it doing now this is what the kids brought me for Mother's Day because they know how much I love wildlife and I love the birds so they brought me a birdhouse I think it's really nice it's from Sainsbury's I saw it in Sainsbury's so I know it's from there um yeah it's really lovely so I think there's a little hole here I might hook it up just on the side of the shed outside how nice is that oh god oh god it's so windy you're not going to be able to hear me oh right I've got these um water pot things with holes in I've got some aquatic soil or compost whatever you want to call it some aquatic stuff and oh where's the other one oh I've got this one which I don't know what it's called and we've got some of this stuff which I water iris there we go I also got this one which is now dying so I better get them planted really right okay I did watch a YouTube tutorial on how to do this so I think I know how to do it so I'm just going to do what they said in the YouTube tutorial so let's do that see it to believe it see it to believe it aquatic soil there it goes don't seem to be enough of it really how many plants so far so one two three I think oh my god I don't know this is right now I haven't got clear this is right I don't think they've sent me enough um aquatic compost shit some other right so I've just put them in the pot you can see it's this not enough is it I put the rocks on top um fingers crossed it's all work I don't know how deep I've got to plant them or anything let's just whack them in oh god let's just whack them in how many times do I say that the plot let's just whack it in let's just give it a go it'd be amazing if everything planted imagine if everything grows after I've just whacked it all in that doesn't look right that doesn't look right at all I think it needs to go deeper it just doesn't look right oh my god that water's cold I don't believe know where they're supposed to go they did this one looks okay that one's like sticking out I don't know if you can see that one there that looks good these ones haven't got bleeding I haven't got bleeding clue oh god flipping it look at this look at this that one there look at that god sakes why I've just put some more rocks in here for animals doesn't look any bloody better just looks ridiculous it's very sorry for itself right okay let me just some of my rubbish has blown around the plot so I'm just going to run and grab it all probably a lot more police get on my bloody back I've just seen a baby fox look at this digging in here I bet he's buried something under there jesus christ not again god sakes bloody fox what's he looking for it's proper gone for it it's proper gone for it with my oh my god bloody fox what is he looking for what is his problem he's not even pooed anywhere what is he looking for how do I get him away from my plot god somebody suggested that I put dog food out for him but I don't want to encourage the little bugger I feel like you know today like getting a stuffed fox maybe putting a stuffed fox in my plot would that work bloody fox idea to stop the fox from digging up my dahlias because I am worried that he's actually going to dig them up and they're not going to grow I got this stuff a little while ago it's like this fencing stuff and I wasn't I wasn't really sure what I was going to do with it I don't know why I brought it to be honest but I'm going to lay it over the bed and peg it down and see if that just stops him from shitting or digging on my bed he's not even pooing guys it's just literally digging you haven't got a staple gun you need a staple gun the amount of jobs I've done with a staple gun it's insane it's the funnest thing I've ever brought as well right so hopefully that deters foxy for a little bit you can see you might just not like the feeling of it or you might not be able to dig and do too much damage it's just for that one I think the others you know he's only pulled up one onion I'll let him off as predicted thousands are descending upon the plot today I think everyone just thinks the same as me like this is the only safe place to go when we're not supposed to be going out so I feel really really fortunate to actually have this space at the moment I don't know how you're feeling and if you're on the waiting list fingers crossed one comes up for you soon because obviously this is going to be going on for a while and this is a really good place to come um I just want to show you my bird box I bunged it on the side of the shed but I think I'm going to take it down for now because you're not supposed to put it up until the last frost just um passed but um I just wanted to show you what it looked like really here it is pretty huh right guys I'm sorry this is like a shorter vlog than usual I'm sure it will be um unless I can edit it amazingly um but yeah it's just it's really cold today and it's obviously the weekend and people are just descending on here like flocks of pigeons so I'm gonna call it a day there oh my god the shed is literally going to fall down right I'm
