Portugal vs Germany 2-4 Highlights & Goals - Group Stage | Euro 2021

Has never happened before. And he's got a Champions League winner's medal as well. So let's go to Lee Dixon and Sam Atterface now then for this big game at the Euros. Thanks Mark. Hello to everyone wherever you're watching. A duel of giants took him to within three of the all-time international scoring record. 500 supporters inside the Allianz Arena. Normally couldn't come good. Havertz picking a fight with Pepe in the early exchanges. Yeah, he's still around Pepe for their countries. Browse yesterday though when he was discussing Portugal. He basically said it's difficult to keep the previous game. And again, Rudiger on that side loses out. It's whipped in by Guita and stretching at the far post and arriving really late. Was Robin Goossens. Napoli couldn't get on the end of it. Goossens can. Acrobatic. Regal three through a tight knot of red jerseys and leaving them in his wake. Goossens came steaming in from that left hand side. Here is Bruno Fernandes. Havertz. Such a great goal scoring season. This campaign for Manchester City. In the centre of Portugal. It's Havertz. And it's spilt into the path of Kimmich. Come off it. That's one challenge. Goossens back towards Kroos. Lots of space for Muller. Still Kimmich. And eventually Portugal smuggle it away. But that was all because... Ronaldo. He won't mind this pressure for Germany because it just gives him a little bit of space. Great ball. Here's Muller. Ado Silva tries to pick him out. Does pick him out. And there is Ronaldo. Smash and grab. And is so often the case. Cristiano Ronaldo has shaken things up and provided the fizz. Well that smile on his face. You can see it now. The break is on. Ronaldo Silva. Just what Havertz. The number 74th country in which he scored a goal. Neat ball to Goossens. Havertz trying to wriggle away from Diaz. A little kick out by Kai Havertz. And it's a free kick to Portugal. Great scoring for his country. And playing for his country. Much likes to come out. Almost players are right back. Hummels. Just naughty isn't he really. Jota. Trying one from distance. Takes a deflection. It's been really exciting to pass it around. Good tap. Guerreiro. Produces a left-footed cross. Which goes through a very dangerous area. That's a great ball. He's been the one. He's been the sharpest. Gnabry. Guerreiro's cross. And it was aimed towards Jota. Gimmick. Taking advantage of a gamble by Guerreiro. Change of thought from the manager. 33 pass move led to the third. Poking it through to Gnabry. And he collides once again inside the area with Ruben Diaz. And Anthony Taylor is warning Pepe. Because he came out with the thing. After a flurry of early chances. It's been a long, long season this season hasn't it. Gimmick. Goossens. And then flicked in by Kai Havertz. The final touch might have come off Diaz. Germany are level. Well this is what Saturday night entertainment is all about. Well the times have got the ball wide. This is Muller. Havertz again. Might get him the second time. Goalkeeper's stranded. Gimmick. Another own goal. This time Guerreiro. Talk about giving Germany a helping hand. Won them up. Portugal find themselves 2-1. And it's Havertz. This time William Carvalho and Ruben Diaz double team him. To shut him down. But it's his presence in the centre that has unsettled the Portuguese defence. Whenever that ball has gone into the box. The ball whipped in towards the head of Rudiger. And it's gone behind. Just to say the VAR today is Stuart Atwell. They now have the bulk of the goals. It's pushed away by Patricio. This is Ronaldo. Into that penalty spot position. Carvalho back to Ruben Diaz. Still running at Pepe. Beating Pepe. Put them in front. But two own goals turn the game on its head. For its annual Oktoberfest. The Achilles are ubiquitous. Sanchez. Samedo trying to get away from Rudiger. Lovely delivery towards John. And they're queuing up in the centre. And Kai Havertz gets the final touch. But he's played a big part in all three goals. Kai Havertz. And now he has his first goal in the European Championships. It's 3-1 Germany. The dominant force for Portugal. Like he is for Manchester United. Familiar taker. Familiar result. He cracked it though, didn't he? He's got to be a worldie from there. But he's capable. That's it. The big hitters. Experimented and tinkered. It's against Hungary here. The points with France at the top and Hungary at the bottom. And these two need to press a little bit higher. Get back into this game. Win the ball back off Jota. Back from Ronaldo. Still Jota. Kimmich. It's another goal. And Goossens manages to get up. And get his just rewards. It's 4-1 Germany. What was that about them struggling? The Germans always get their act together. They've come out. They knew they needed to post a big result today. Most of the German team play for the same club. Those players, those wing backs out there. Towards the near post. Ronaldo keeps it alive. And it's tapped in by Diogo Jota. It's 4-2. And maybe the game's not over yet. Manuel Neuer is absolutely furious. How can you forget about Cristiano Ronaldo? Germany 4. There's still a long bit of space out on this near side. Ronaldo goes past Emre Can. It's going to be quite a busy time. We've got the highlight show tonight. Six weeks with an injury. Certainly adds Kraft to the minimal mean. A reconfiguration to the... Looks to try and escape past Rudiger. He won't go anywhere son. Big ball. But if Portugal were to score in the next ten minutes. Muller looking for Goretzka again. And Pepe's going to Rafa Silva. Jota. Is that a late challenge on him? I think it might be. The yellow portion of Portuguese supporters. This is Renato Sanchez. What a thunderbolt. Well he's scored. How the goal's still standing. There's only ten minutes to go. He's strolling in the woods. Getting a bit of fresh air. For one side. Could that be the other? It's Leon Goretzka. Decided to go for glory. The Crows won it back there. Controlled every department. Lovely flick. Samedo bursting into the box. Martinho. Floated in beautifully. Pepe back across the face of goal. And Rudiger is there. Final minute of the 90. Rafa Silva. Scurrying away. Pursued by Muller and Kimmich. Cox by his own feet. Holstenberg. Zane. Nothing is. Away by Ginter. Still not clear. Muller couldn't get it away. Germany ends in another German victory.
