How to go from this to this. For a single serving of ramen you're going to need one packet of ramen,
one chicken breast, two eggs, garlic, ginger root, chicken broth, green onions, pepper, salt,
vinegar, soy sauce, and butter. For utensils you will need one large pot, one small pot,
an oven safe skillet, and a sharp knife. For preparation of the food carefully mince about
one teaspoon's worth of garlic. Mince one teaspoon of ginger but be sure to remove the outside of
the ginger root since that won't be needed. Next cut up about a quarter of a cup of green onions.
This will be used in the end as a garnish on top of the ramen. On a new cutting board we're going
season the chicken. Season it just to taste with salt and pepper. Don't forget to season both sides
of the chicken. Next preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Next we're going to grease an already
heated pan on medium. We're going to use half a tablespoon of butter. If there's any extra butter
we're going to use that for later. Next we take the already seasoned chicken breast. We're going
to sear both sides to a nice golden brown before adding it to the oven. Make sure both sides have
that nice golden brown color. After both sides are done transfer the oven safe skillet to the oven.
We're going to cook that for 20 minutes. In a large pot on medium heat we'll add the remainder
of the butter. We'll add the garlic and ginger and cook until soft. Then we'll add the soy sauce
and the rice vinegar. We'll mix everything together. Next we'll add the chicken broth
and we'll bring that to a boil. To prepare the eggs use our small pot filled with water and
bring it to a boil. Then we rinse off the eggs to make sure they're nice and clean.
Add them to the boiling water. Boil them for five to six minutes. When the eggs are done boiling
transfer them carefully to ice cold water. Leave them in the bowl for about five minutes or to where
you can comfortably hold the eggs. When the eggs are cool to touch carefully peel them and set them
aside. By now the chicken should be finished. Remove the chicken onto a clean cutting board
and cut into the center to ensure it's cooked all the way. There should be no pink in the center.
Carefully slice up the chicken and let it cool. Now add the ramen to the same pot of
water that we used to boil the eggs. This should only take about three minutes.
When the noodles are finished you can now begin assembling your ramen bowl.
Add as many noodles as you'd like and then start to add the broth.
Now you can start adding your chicken and then cut the egg lengthways down very slowly and
carefully. When it separates it should be this perfect soft boiled yolk in the center. Top it
off with your garnish of green onions and then you have this beautiful delicious ramen.
