"When you think about LeBron James, you think about greatness."

Is this the moment? Westbrook looking for James. He's got it. LeBron James, a shot at history. And he's done it! And stands alone! His all-time scoring record now belongs to LeBron James. LeBron, you are the NBA's all-time scoring leader. Congratulations. When you think about LeBron James, you think about greatness. Four MVPs, four championships, four finals MVPs. It's been a joy to see LeBron grow up from 18 years old. We're all here because we know this is one of our happiest days of our lives. LeBron James. People almost expected him to be perfect. There's always so much pressure on LeBron James. There's expectations every single night when you step foot on the floor. To live up to that, to exceed expectations, is wild. There's no pressure. There's no pressure at all. All-time point scorer. Something that you dream of, every kid dreams of. LeBron takes it to the rim and finishes with a left and he's fouled! His idol, MJ, for a full-time scoring list. We're talking about being great over a long period of time and being efficient in scoring. And there it is. He just became the third leading scorer in NBA history, passing Kobe Bryant. To be able to score that many points and be that consistent for so many years, is something that's very special. And then there was one. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and LeBron James won two all-time in the NBA scoring list. Kareem is definitely on the Mount Rushmore of greatest players of all time. Kareem is our example of not just longevity, but consistency. Kareem's all-time scoring record is something I thought would never be broken. Coming from a bucket getter, I think it's the best accomplishment that you can get. LeBron has been so consistent since he came into the league. Year 20 still makes it look so easy. It just shows the commitment and dedication LeBron has shown to the game, to himself. To be number one point scorer in the NBA is just unbelievable. To do it here in a Lakers uniform, you pass Kobe, you pass Kareem, two Lakers, it means a little bit more. Coming into the league, he was a pass first guy. That's the best part of this game, his ability to pass the ball. And actually break the scoring record, that's unbelievable. It's crazy, he's doing what he's doing at the age he's at. 38 years of age, now it is 20th NBA season. What separates LeBron from a lot of greats is that he can manage his body and play the same style as he did when he was younger. It's a testament to who LeBron is as a person, the endurance he has as a human being. I want to continue to get up every day and become one of the greatest players to ever play sports. 38,003 stands alone. LeBron, man, I just want to say congrats on breaking the all-time scoring record. It's been an honor to compete against you. From AAU tournaments when he was in the 8th grade to being the all-time leading scorer, it's pretty incredible. Celebrate it, we are all celebrating you. To know that somebody in your generation accomplished that goal is unbelievable. You raise the stakes, keep that number going even higher so nobody can catch you.
