On this day, the weather seemed to have been divided as if by a ruler. The cloud cover was as if cut off and moved towards the Alps, while afterwards there was a clear blue sky. Only a few small clouds remained, bathed in wonderful colors by the setting sun.
The 1812 Overture has the character of a battaglia (musical battle painting): Formation of the armies, noise of battle and victory song.
Originally, the overture was intended for the festivities at the consecration of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow, which Tsar Alexander I had built in gratitude for the victory over Napoleon. Due to an assassination attempt on Tsar Alexander II, however, the cathedral was not completed and consecrated until later.
For once, the orchestration is more than worth mentioning:
In addition to the brass band, there was an "open" instrumentation consisting of "all available additional brass instruments": 1 piccolo, 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 1 English horn, 2 clarinets in B♭ and 2 bassoons, 4 horns in F, 2 cornets in B♭, 2 trumpets in E♭, 3 trombones (2 tenor, 1 bass) and 1 tuba, timpani, large orchestra drum, small drum, cymbals, tambourine, triangle, glockenspiel, violins I and II, violas, cellos and double basses. The highlight of the originally planned production is the artillery: a cannon battery with real cannons. In addition, real church bells from Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Saviour were to be rung. At least that was the plan, but as I said, things turned out differently. Today, the score says in reference to the cannons: "An instrument used in the theatre to simulate cannon shots".
"The overture will be quite loud and noisy, but since I wrote it without love, it has no artistic value." - Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
The LeoSymphonyOrchestra's interpretation of the 1812 Overture is much less loud and noisy than other recordings.
The film was edited by Wenjing Ma.

它是來自Pond5.com的免版稅音樂。
《1812年序曲》具有battaglia(音樂戰鬥畫)的特點。
