Senate Finance Committee Hearing | 2.8.22 | Opening Remarks

On February 8, 2022, U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy testified before the Senate Finance Committee during a hearing entitled “Protecting Youth Mental Health: Part I - An Advisory and Call to Action.” Dr. Murthy spoke about how our country can address its youth mental health crisis, presenting findings and recommendations from his Surgeon General’s Advisory of the same name, released in December 2021.
