October Comments on Your Comments and Fan of The Month

Welcome to the month of Halloween-ness. Yes, Halloween-ness. You know what my favorite part of this month is? Which is what? The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror. Wait a minute, they still do that? I think so. All right, guys. So we selected some comments. So thank you for commenting and keep on doing so. We do read all your comments. We might not get back to everybody, but we do try to read. And here are some ones we found pretty interesting. Not that if we didn't choose yours, yours wasn't interesting. This is from our video 10 Things Asians Love or 11 Things Asians Love because apparently this comment says, from Cass Carter, you guys have two number 10s, LOL. What was that about, math? You know what that was about? That's just to show you guys you can't stereotype. Just because we're Asians don't mean we can't count. No. Is that what happened? Yeah, we evidently couldn't count. That's a shame. Hey, that's a good lesson to you all. You know what, though? I scored higher on my verbal than on my math, on my SATs. What's that all about? I scored higher on my math purely because I just came back from China before I took my SATs. You had like triple college level math. And I knew no English words. Cassandra Holderman says this from, again, our Things Asians Love video. Ah, yes, the after dinner walk. My husband acts like I have insulted his great ancestor if I'm too tired for such. You know what, Cassandra? You can never say no to the after dinner sambal. So I'm assuming that Cassandra's married to an Asian man. Yes, yes. And he likes to take a walk. He likes to sambal. Yeah. It's a national pastime. You have to do it. You gotta do it. We don't have a lot of enjoyable things we like to do. It probably dates back to ancient times. Yeah. Our ex Dan. I don't like bubble tea. Nice. It's all artificial flavor. That's right. And too much sugar. That's right. It's gross. I think there's a conspiracy here. I think our ex Dan is actually you. I think you wrote this comment to bash bubble tea. And there's no picture. No, but seriously, though, all those things, valid points. Artificial flavor, too much sugar, not really even that much tea. And oh, don't no one try to argue with me. Because guess what? Guess what? I've literally took how to make bubble tea class. He did. Chinese bubble tea instructors. Okay, I took it. So I know exactly what goes in there. Ninai says, yes, I love the Elvis Duran and The Morning Show. They are awesome. I think I heard that same show. So we were talking about, obviously, in our video. You love that show. I love that show. 10 things or 11 things Asians love. And we talked about how I heard on the Elvis Duran show that he was talking about the same topic. But he should have asked us. We never got a call from Elvis Duran. We never got a notice. Elvis Duran, we want to take you out for hot pot. Because I bet you, you never had hot pot before in your life. Yeah. And you're going to love this. But maybe he doesn't eat spicy. Okay, he can eat the non-spicy side. Like you. Burning Sparkle says, you guys should make a hot pot guide. We should. Well, you made a hot pot video one time a while back. Yeah, but we should make one. We should make one for, we'll make one for Off The Great Wall. Let us know, thumbs up, comments if you want us to make a hot pot video. Do you, you know what? I'm going to go out on a limb and say that between you and I, I think we're the two New Yorkers, Asian or non-Asian, that go out for hot pot the most. I agree. Because between you and I, we go to hot pot, no fail, one to two times a week. At least. Because I go once a week. Yes. And you go a lot. I go a lot. Sometimes you even go by yourself. Yes. Nightcore S says, oh, I don't know why, but I love you guys. We love you too. There was a comment, I forgot who wrote this. Okay. You know how our fans have this game, they like to be first. Oh, yeah. And it's a fun game. I don't know if that's just our fans or people watch YouTube in general. Fans in general, right. But you know what? It's a fun game. There are some haters in the back, like, well, who cares? But you know what? It's a fun game. We enjoy it too. We like to see who's first as well. So one time somebody commented, they're like, first. Yeah. And then they realized they weren't first. Oh. So someone else was first. Embarrassing. Right. But what this person who was first did was they deleted their comments and they replied to the second person and said, hey, I deleted my comment because I knew how much being first meant to you. Wow. And they let the other person be first. Nah, dude. You guys are so nice and awesome. Pat on the back, pat on the back. No, you gotta. That's a good Chinese version. Yeah. Our fans, like, listen. It's very good. Very good. Super nice people. Like, mostly the comments have been always positive and supportive of each other. Sakura Mikan says, and this is our video about the turning into Asian parents thing. Oh, yeah. Says there was no actual food in that except the fried dough stick. Those were really oily ones. Okay. Let me explain about that. I saw a couple of comments about that. We came in here and we had no breakfast. All we had was the food for our videos. And you know what? We ate it. Yeah. Actually, you ate like three quarters of it. And then you were like, here's the food we're supposed to eat. And you know why there was even rice or fried dough sticks left? Because I bought like 10 of them. Yeah. And so there was only like three left. So guys, sorry. All right. It was early in the morning. We got up early on a weekend to make that video for you guys. We deserve a little food. Exactly. We do. So yeah, there's no food in there. Something else I want to know. We love it when you guys comment and write questions and things like that. And sometimes we want to write back. But we can't because there's no reply button on your little profile thing. So you need to fix that. If you ask us a question, you're like, why don't they ever respond? It's something maybe we want to respond, but we can't. We just technically cannot respond to you. Like Sakura Makan. Yeah, you can't even reply. We can't even reply to you. Just can't even do it. So you can fix that. Maybe we can reply to some of your comments. RMelissa978 says, hi, OMG, awesome video. Like always, you guys looking fine. But I just want to say I live, I think love, she meant or he meant, your videos and always look forward when you upload. Well, thank you so much. We love it when you guys look forward to our upload. This is from our inventions video. Francis Xu says, but with the full body umbrella, you can't share an umbrella with someone. Sadness, the lack of an Asian drama romance. Notice me, senpai. But I wouldn't mind owning a boyfriend pillow. If I did own a full body umbrella, I would totally buy it. She makes a good point. If you buy the full body umbrella, there lacks a opportunity of a close encounter with somebody else trapped in the rain with no umbrella. So what you're saying is we should invent the two person full body umbrella. Cyanide Neko says, that shirt. I've seen it in so many videos. She's talking about my how to pick up chicks shirt. Oh, yeah. But here, let me let me justify it. It's not like I wore it every single day because that's my most noticeable shirt. So then if you see me wear it in like more than one video, you're gonna be like, oh, I see you all the time. It's just a noticeable shirt. You know why? It's because Mike actually goes and picks up little chicks all the time. That's what I do on weekends. He's in the countryside like, give me a little chicky. Live Love Laugh Philia says, OK, this is from the Asian I Love You video. The one that you posted with other people. Yeah, exactly. Is it weird that I teared up a bit watching this last one? It was so sweet. When I tell my parents I love them, they think I'm asking for something. And for some odd reason, I can't say it in Chinese. It's less awkward telling them in English. Valid points all around. Because when you say it in English, they kind of just brush it off. Yeah, Cindy Hu, she said this made me cry. Well, let's be serious for a second here. That was a touching video. That was a touching video, yeah. Because you never expect what comes out of parents mouths when you utter these words. And that video had a whole range from funny to like really touching. And you know what? I think I teared up a little bit myself making that video. So you're not alone there, Cindy. All right, guys. It is time for October's Fan of the Month. Oh, we got a good one. We got a super good one. So we were in San Francisco recently and we met with so many awesome people. So many awesome people. We did a meet up where a lot of people came last minute. We basically... Last minute. Oh my god, it was so last minute. Those were awesome fans. Yes. And a lot of them wanted to come because it was last minute. They weren't around. Exactly. Sorry about that. And we totally underestimated how many people watched us in San Francisco. So we also went to a couple of really cool classes. Classes in high school. Yeah. Oh, by the way, if you're a teacher and you want us to come and talk to your class, they have to like us though. They don't like us and we just show up. They're like, who are these idiots? That would have been awkward. So teachers, if your kids like us, we would be happy to come to your schools, college, elementary or whatever, high school. And play some cool games. So we would love to come. Give away some prizes. Love to come and talk to your kids. So our fan of the month we met at our meetup. And this is a really sweet girl. And this is the first time we actually got fan mail. Like mail, like letter, like physical paper. Like we get a lot of, you know, fan mail from email-ish. Right. You know, but. This was like in an envelope. Yeah. So nice. This was like the most thoughtful gift we can ever get. Exactly. Not just me and you got it, but she also gave one to Yi. Yi and Mia. And Mia. So Angela. Angela, we want to make you our October fan of the month. So. And we didn't tell her before. We wanted to leave it for surprise. Exactly. So we know she's watching. So Facebook message us and your address and phone number. And we will send you an awesome, awesome Off the Great Wall t-shirt. Yes. And one last thing, guys. We got something in the mail a couple days ago. It was from YouTube. We got this from YouTube. This is awesome. Can you guys see this with the reflections? I don't know. It's a silver play button.
