The film ends with a realization on the man’s part as he sees how singlehandedly carrying the burden of the household doesn’t even give the woman one of the most basic human needs – sleep. The film shed lights on not just the physical load but even the mental load of the house that the woman carries with her every day and every night.

The last video actually tells us that the reunion dinner is a time to put aside the difficulties of the year and come together as one family. The only place we can escape is family. What this video teaches us for the younger generation is the determination of parents to do their best for the benefit of their children. From this story, we know that we should appreciate our parent. It reminds of the reunion dinner, and indirectly, rice, especially during the Chinese New Year.
