What's up? My name is Banks Cox. I'm a catcher right-hand pitcher. I'm a freshman at UNCG, and here's what's in my bag.
So first we got my Louisville Slugger. It's a
33-30. It does have a little bit of a dent in it from where I tripped. I love this bat.
I love the way it feels. It's really light, but it's also got power in it.
My buddy Zach gave me it, so nothing beats free.
Here we got my dad's when he played in the Cape Cod League. It's a 33-30.
I just swing this in BP. It's like a really,
truly heavy. So I just, it's like my BP warm-up bat. I don't swing it much because I've already broken three of his bats.
And then here's a 34-inch, same bat.
This is what I'm gonna start swinging to get ready for school because I do plan on going up to a 34-inch.
I love these bats. They have so much pop, but they're so old that they, they like to break.
And then here's my, my pride and joy. This is my Blue Vela. It's a 33-30.
It's been kicked around a little bit. I got this from my buddy.
And
it's, you know, I love this bat. It's been with me for all of high school. All I swung is Blue Vela.
So those are my bats.
I'll show you all my, my good stuff.
This is my EvoShield
foot guard. I put it on. I wear it every at bat. I pit.
Probably 50 balls off my ankle. Whenever I'm playing my best, I always hit a foul ball and it ruins my day.
And then batting gloves. As you'll see, I just, I
don't really, I'm not picky. As long as it covers my, I rip batting gloves. If you can see, this one's already starting to go.
I just bought these a week ago.
I go through batting gloves like nobody's business. I spend hundreds of dollars a year on batting gloves.
So I just kind of keep which ones don't rip and I'll use those if my hands get sweaty or something.
I don't have pine tar on my bag, but I always have pine tar. I threw it away because I went 0-6 one weekend.
This is my holy grail right here. This is my blue diamond.
Most people don't talk about their cup. This cost me 40 bucks. It's an MMA fighting cup and it's, oh,
the reason I might have kids.
We have KT tape. I don't know if it works, but it looks cool on my arm. So I wear it.
I don't, you know, I'm not picky. And a tiger bone.
I love tiger bone. Even if my arm feels fine, if something doesn't hurt, I just like the way it like burns.
Yeah, it feels good. I got my Carolina Rockies helmet. I play with Carolina Rockies a lot.
I don't usually wear helmets because I got a really fat head.
But this is my go-to.
It's a Rawlings.
It's just one of the few helmets that actually fit my head.
It's really big. I always have a pearl in my bag for my pitcher. And I got jammed this year at 92,
which didn't feel good. My thumb was popped out and it was purple for about a week.
So I had to start wearing one of these.
I don't really like, a lot of kids talk about how much they love these things. I'm not a big fan.
I think it's uncomfortable.
So it wasn't a good month period of spitting.
And then we got
bands.
Must have for my arm.
I use these to get loose.
To get everything I did before games with bands. I spent about 10 minutes on bands.
I got practice pants. I always have practice pants. So my high school coach would never make me run for not having pants.
Gatorade is my go-to drink.
Always drinking Gatorade.
I always have some sort of food.
I like to eat.
A lot.
So I always have food. I got
chewy granola bars in here always.
Peanut butter chocolate chip are my favorite. I'm in some Mentos. I like these in between innings, especially if I'm not playing good.
It's like a reason to smile.
I got these Pio balls. I got my shoulder loose for a game with Douglas Defense.
Thank you AJ Lewis. He's the one that gave me these. I use these all the time.
And I got about 30 baseballs in this pocket. They all look like this. I take them all out, but then they'd be here all day.
I got my All-Star gear. My grandfather
my grandfather gifted me this my freshman year as like a
you know, please be good at baseball gift. And I've used it ever since. I love All-Star.
Blocking with this. This is the new chest protector. I actually got this one
down at Lake Point a year ago because it's got the heart
protected. You got to have that now. And you can't feel a thing when you get hit. So I love this.
I got the leg protectors too.
I just took off the knee savers because everyone makes fun of me for them.
Same thing. I mean, I've had these for four years and they still work and I still don't feel pain when I get hit.
No legs.
And then I have my mask. My mask, I wear one piece. I don't like two pieces.
I wore two piece one time and took it foul ball to the throat.
So ever since then I've worn this.
You can see it's old. It's been beaten.
It's missing a screw on the back. It's but it still works. So I'm not gonna complain. I love it.
I always drink Body Armor 2. Body Armor Gatorade or using my Gatorade drinks during a game or after a game.
And I think
hold on, I got
a lot of people might find me weird with this. So the best game I ever played, I was like 12.
And this is my sock. I used to always wear this sock when I played. But it's ripped.
My foot goes through it, doesn't fit me anymore and Bullard never let me wear pink.
So it stayed in my bag. It's been in my bag since I was probably 10 to 12. And I got this cross way back.
So it's always it's been in my bag since I've had this bag.
Save the best for last.
I'll do this one first. So I have this is my just I call it my thrower glove.
It's not really my infielder's glove or an outfielder's glove. It's just my
if I'm not catching glove.
Harrison gave me this. I use it to pitch. I use it to play third. I use it to play off-field. I use it
for anything that's not catching. I love it. It's a flare glove. I think it looks cool.
I throw hard with it, so I keep using it.
And this is my holy grail.
This was given to me by my parents for my birthday.
It's a Rawlings, the gold glove.
It's pro preferred. It's a 34 inch.
I love Rawlings. They're like a deep pocket.
I used to use an All-Star, but I'm not hating on All-Star,
but it's a really shallow pocket.
And when everyone starts throwing harder, I think the deeper the pocket, the better.
So I love this glove. It is beautiful.
I've had it for over a year now.
And I mean, it's been perfect.
It broke in pretty fast.
It stays in my bed. It doesn't stay in my bag.
And I love it.
If I could have anything that's not in my bag right now, I'd probably
as much as I love this glove, it's not really a pitching glove.
And I know I love Wilson A2000.
So if I could have a glove, I'd want a pitching glove, a Wilson A2000.
I think they're sweet.
I like how stiff they are.
And maybe it'll make me throw harder.
I don't know.
But I think those gloves are definitely the coolest gloves out there.
This is definitely my favorite.
This and my B-Love are definitely my my two favorite things
in my bag and the candy.
That's that's what I got.
