I owe everything to this place, to these mountains, this ocean, to the people who surround me.
This isn't just my home, this is who I am. Being locked on a little island in the Pacific,
it's definitely a big push to want to travel. My love for creating, just following my passion
and what I love and my happiness and my drive, it's brought me around the world.
And I'm so incredibly blessed for that.
When you travel, you're always being introduced to new things, new sights, new smells, new people,
new foods, and it brings to life this childlike feeling. You just want to completely immerse
yourself in these cultures, in these people, in these places, and just forget everything you
ever knew and just be right there. I live in the most beautiful place on earth, and it wasn't until
I left that I realized it. There's a connection that I feel at home that I don't feel anywhere
else. It's like a connection to the island. Growing up here, you learn to respect what's
around you, and in return, what's around you gives you life. A big provider for me especially is the
ocean. I do a lot of free diving. My pops taught me how when I was just a kid. He taught me that
hunting is about learning, and when you take something's life, you have a greater understanding
for it, an appreciation. But you're bringing home dinner, not just for you, but for your family,
and for your loved ones, and that's just an amazing feeling, like going out into the ocean
and catching dinner. It reminds me where my food comes from and where it should come from.
Camping's just, it's so much more, and it's an escape. It's just you and nature.
You're away from everything. There's no phones. There's no service. It doesn't matter
how much money you're gonna make. It doesn't matter what you're gonna do tomorrow. It
just matters what's happening right there, right then. I'm constantly trying to keep a balance
of wanting to share my life and my experiences with the world and not wanting to share too much.
It's so easy to expose these locations and give away the secrecy that makes a place magical.
Whenever I find somewhere new or find myself in a new place, I like to take a look around,
and if it's quiet and there's no one around, I do my part to keep it that way.
That's why it's so important to take care of these places, to enter with respect and with
the knowledge that now that you found this place, you have a responsibility to it, to make sure it
never loses its magic, to keep quiet places quiet. Everything about this place excites me,
and I always want to learn more, and I feel like that's shaped who I am more than anything.
There's something about fear that I like, and I like it a lot. I just like to push myself and
know what I'm capable of. I don't like feeling fear and letting it win. We all have a purpose,
and we only discover that purpose when we follow our passions for happiness.
Being outside and learning more and more about where we live, that's where I've found mine,
and the more I learn, the more I want to protect it, the more I want to
keep it how it is and make sure that I'm doing my part to give back,
and I'm not taking too much, and my footprint that I'm leaving on this earth is a good one.
