Jaden Smith | House Tour | $4 Million Hidden Hills Mansion

It seems to me like the entire Smith family lives luxuriously, not just Will and Jada. That most definitely includes their kids, one of which is their 22 year old son Jaden. We've taken a look at Will, Jada, and even their daughter Willow's properties on this channel, so today we're going to see how Jaden Smith is living. While he grew up in the family's mega calabasas compound that boasts its own zip code, he also grabbed himself a starter home in the exclusive Hidden Hills neighbourhood. In these videos we don't reveal any addresses, and even though I've done a house tour of Jaden Smith is an actor and singer who's undoubtedly best known for his breakthrough role in the hit film After Earth, which he filmed as his dear old dad Will Smith. Alright, as you can probably tell from the clip, maybe that film wasn't such a big hit after all. In fact, in all honesty, when it comes to his acting roles, Jaden is probably best remembered for his very first role in another movie that he made with Will called The Pursuit of Happiness. There's a pretty significant time gap between those two clips and sometimes it's hard to believe that we've been watching this young man grow up for 22 years now. Jaden was raised in a creative household as the son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, two of the most successful actors in Hollywood. As Jaden and his sister Willow grew older, we watched them live their luxurious lives from an early age. As successful as the Smith family is, we've been able to live vicariously through them, and watch as they spoil their kids rotten. I mean, Jaden's been messing around with Cartier jewelry since he was a kid. That's $5,000 worth of Cartier love rings by the way. In his hair. Then there's the first car his parents ever bought him, a $130,000 Tesla Model X. That's something that we're going to circle back to in a little bit by the way, and let's not forget about the home he grew up in, a custom built 25,000 square foot estate worth somewhere in the ballpark of around 42 million dollars. When you see footage like that, there's no doubting how close Will and Jaden are. But that doesn't mean that Jaden was going to live at home forever. In fact, back in 2013 they talked about that very thing while doing promotion for you guessed it, After Earth. Then the two appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show, and then this happened. Jaden then went on to say that as soon as one of his own films is a bigger success than one of his father's, that's when he gets to have his own house. And while Jaden hasn't exactly found that type of success yet, it didn't stop him from moving out at the age of 18. The problem is, things haven't exactly gone swimmingly to this point with his new home, and today I'm going to tell you why. How's it going guys and girls? He's curious, not passive, and all he wants to do is create. He grew up doing things like putting up LED lights all around his bedroom to make it feel like space, and he also built other things around the home as a kid, including his own bed, closets, and one giant 12 foot tall pyramid in his parents' backyard. Wait, did I just say pyramid? Yes I did. Speaking with GQ, he told them You might wonder why Jaden has such a thing for pyramids, but as he explains later in that same interview, he and his sister Willow were homeschooled from an early age in what As it turns out, Jaden and Willow had some say in their educational curriculum, and they chose to focus on something a little esoteric. He told GQ It dates back to like ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, like Plato, Pythagoras, all these students had mystery schools, and what they learned there was sacred. They would learn the math and sciences of a generation, and then they would build the cities and give that energy and that knowledge to the other people. After living in the type of house that allowed him to be his most authentic and creative self, Jaden decided to strike out on his own around August of 2016 when he posted this cryptic tweet saying you could move into hidden hills and we still don't live by the same code. Whatever or whomever that was referring to specifically, we don't really know. But a few months later, in early 2017, Jaden moved out of his family place, and guess where he moved? That's right, Hidden Hills. His new home might not be the adobe paradise that his last home was, but it's no slouch either with it's 4 million dollar price tag, situated snugly inside a gated community. Located in West San Fernando Valley, bordering Calabasas and Woodland Hills, Hidden Hills is a neighborhood that's home to only around 600 residents. Details and a look inside of the interior of Jaden's place are practically non-existent but reports suggest that the home has 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, and it's surrounded on all sides by plenty of vegetation for privacy. In terms of the history of the place, Will and Jada bought this home to live in back in 2003 while their 40 million dollar estate in Calabasas was being prepared. First built in 1978, this home was renovated by the Smiths after they purchased it and transformed into more than 6,000 square feet of living space. After the Smiths moved out, Will's business partner James Lasseter moved in it for a while. Then in 2017, Jaden took over, and apparently if reports are to be believed, he brought some buddies and a whole bunch of noise with him. When speaking with Daily Mail, one of Jaden's neighbours had this to say. He has a sense of entitlement bravado. He doesn't care if security referments him or gives him a warning, he just continues to do whatever he pleases. All it took was 6 months for Jaden's neighbours to lose their cool with the young star, and it apparently began with Jaden driving his Tesla around in the neighbourhood in extremely reckless fashion. Ok, if he was driving it around like that, I can see why it might raise some eyebrows. Another neighbour speaking with the Daily Mail told them. This was a quiet neighbourhood, but Jaden and his entourage are turning it into their own personal kingdom. One reason as to why Jaden might have selected this home in Hidden Hills as his own is that it's close to where his good friend Kylie Jenner lives in her own 12 million dollar mansion. In fact, Hidden Hills is the community of choice for a bunch of other celebrities as well. Folks like Jessica Simpson, Kris Jenner, and Kanye West all own homes in this neighbourhood. Now whether or not Jaden ever toned things down a bit and made amends with his neighbours, we're not entirely sure. We haven't heard too much about it since he first moved a couple years ago, so my best guess is that Jaden had some wild oats he wanted to sow while out on his own for the first time, and he's probably calmed down since then. Still, as I've pointed out more than a few times throughout the course of this video, Jaden is a unique individual, and just because things are quiet right now doesn't mean they're always gonna stay that way. He told GQ I feel like it's an honour actually for people to think I'm crazy because they thought Galileo was crazy too. You know what I'm saying? I don't think I'm as revolutionary as Galileo, but I don't think I'm not as revolutionary In other words, expect Jaden to make a breakthrough in astrophysics any day now.
