Messi, Neymar and Mbappe TOYING with Manchester City at the Etihad

...on matchday two, but he was outstanding from about the halfway point onward. Yeah. There's Neymar, the two players trying to win it back, and in the end, Párez gets himself the free-kick. He's hung on to that free-kick. Martin, they do tend to concede goals, even in the games that they win. For Messi. There's the first nutmeg tonight. Messi jinks away from Sinchenko, supported here by Neymar. Can't pass it back in an orthodox fashion. Messi. Now Neymar. ...at times. Wouldn't sit down for Sterling, that cross. Dante glides away from Cancelo. Here's Messi. It's only the seventh time tonight, the three of them. Dante finding a way to turn against Jon Stoens. He's got Guarniola barking him as well down there. Diaz on Neymar. Into that space. No protection in front of him. His only goal against Manchester City, Neymar, was for Barcelona at a... Nuno Méndez. On it goes to Neymar. Flack stays down. Trouble for Manchester City. And the deflection in the end took the pace... And then Méndez wrecks a run anyway. It takes him offside. It just deflects off a defender, in fairness. Flack. It's given away though by him to Mbappé. And then runs into Rodrigues. And a comeback for the foul. It's almost a good foul, isn't it? Because this man's away. High speed. Kylian Mbappé. He's been bombarded at a goal every 59 minutes at club level since then. He's scored four and made five. Well, he was disappointing in the summer for France, missing that penalty. Cavani's at the top. He's got 200 and Mbappé's got 140. I mean, whether he stays long enough to break it. Lionel Messi. Neymar. It's worked for them. He starts to motor. Lionel Messi. 17 goals now behind Cristiano Ronaldo in the Champions League. He scored his... It's Messi. Hasn't seen the ball an awful lot in the first half. But he gets it back again there. Can he catch him there? Mbappé skips effortlessly away from Cancelo. They've been chasing Manchester City around in their own penalty area for the last 20 minutes or so. And there's no space down there for Kylian Mbappé. I'm sat in the gantry and I didn't see that one. Nearly came off. The fact that Marquinhos has just looked it clear that this is where they can be dangerous. It's Mbappé. Played in by Neymar. That's the situation that Manchester City have got to guard against. Definitely. Stones there. He gets caught. Walker. You have to give Walker credit again. Mbappé so quick. Look, he just knows where it's going. By the home side. Halftime though. They have the Etihad. It's Manchester City nil. Paris Saint-Germain nil. Only six outfield players selected by Pep Guardiola. Original pass at the start of the move. And they carried on running. Neymar lets it run to Messi. Gets it back again from Herrera. And it goes towards Mbappé. Chance for PSG. They score. But that's what they can do when the three of them get involved like that. Anything is possible. And Kylian Mbappé scores his ninth goal of the season. And just like that, Paris Saint-Germain lead at the Etihad. Well, that was always the danger for City. Goes through the keeper's legs in the end. They almost hypnotise you. Watching the mesmerising football. Messi involved. Mendes starts the move, by the way. The left-back here. Look at him. Gives it and goes. And Messi again is involved. A little give and go. And then there's two players. An overload on the far stick here. Just takes a good first touch. And away by Nuno Mendes. Who has to get a tremendous amount of credit for the part that he, Paris Saint-Germain, got. Still not sure that that front... It's Neymar who's always involved when available. And Mbappé hunting again. They're as good as anybody at counter-attacking. Saw it last season. You know who the three are from Paris Saint-Germain. Messi leading the charge. Supported here by Neymar. Messi. Down the street. Way off out to me. Referee right in front of the referee. Completely missed that. Just left his leg in as well a little bit, Neymar. Didn't mean it. 1-2 in Manchester City. A clinical from City. We talked about... Stopping over Manchester City. Way to Mbappé. And Neymar. Messi. Stopping. Neymar trying to get through. Neymar is through. And Neymar puts it wide. Should have scored. Wonderful football. The only thing that let it down was... Quality at the end of it. Done all the hard work. Twisting. Turning. Little 1-2. Puts it wide. Comes from deep here. Neymar running. Smiling through each player. Just get his foot round it. Mbappé. Catching Messi. Yellow card. To make sure it wasn't too severe. The concert again. From Guardiola. The forlorn look on the face of Neymar. Into Mbappé. Back to Neymar. Trying to keep his feet there. The Brazilian. He could have gone down there on two or three occasions.
