We did a little bit of digging and were able to find that Magic and Cookie also previously
owned a luxury mansion in Las Vegas that came with a number of sick features.
In these videos we don't reveal any addresses, and even though I've done a house tour of
my own place, please do not show up at any private residences because it's not safe
for anyone.
Magic Johnson has had quite the lucrative career in professional basketball, garnering
a net worth of $600 million dollars, and during his playing career, Magic earned just over
$18 million dollars in salary and several million more in endorsements.
Magic's salary and endorsements were well-earned, as he's considered to be the greatest point
guard of all time.
Sadly, Magic's career was cut short by his 1991 contraction of the HIV virus.
However, it was anything but a quiet retirement for him.
During his retirement, he launched a business empire called Magic Johnson Enterprises that's
valued at over $1 million dollars today, which has helped give Magic that personal net worth
of $600 million.
In addition, Magic Johnson Enterprises owns Magic Johnson Theatres, a movie studio, and
a promotional marketing company.
In 1994, Magic paid $10 million dollars to buy 5% of the Lakers, which he then went on
to sell in 2010 for a reported $50 to $60 million dollars.
In addition, in 2010, Johnson also sold his chain of Starbucks for $75 million.
He doubled down in March 2012, as Magic and a group of partners purchased the Los Angeles
Dodgers from Frank McCourt for $2 billion.
So when you're the GOAT at being point guard in the NBA, and a successful entrepreneur,
you're naturally going to live in some pretty solid real estate, and he obviously loves
Cali.
We're going to take a deep dive on his two California homes, plus the secret Las Vegas
home that most fans might not even know about.

Today we're checking out 3 of the lavish homes of Magic and Cookie Johnson, a couple
who's been together for basically 30 years.

Lowry and Deontay Wilder, and we'll link to some at the end.

While Magic and Cookie have a clear love affair with California homes, there was talk that
the couple owned a luxurious gated mansion in Las Vegas they listed for 2.5 million dollars.
This home is decked out with some sick features perfect for entertaining.
The gated mansion is situated on 2.5 acres of land, and was built in 1997 with over 12,000
square feet of living space, boasting 5 beds and 6 baths.
So what are these features the 2 story home comes with?
Well, for one thing, the mansion features a two-level home theater and wet bar for those
who want a date night without leaving the comfort of home.
The residence features its very own aquarium and wine cellar, in case the bar doesn't
quite cut it.
Magic clearly still liked to pump the iron as the home featured a personal home gym and
two lane bowling alley perfect for playing with guests.
Staying true to his NBA roots, the home features an indoor basketball court and an additional
racquetball court in case Magic wants to switch it up.
The home featured both a stunning indoor swimming pool and outdoor lagoon swimming pool with
grotto.
Apparently, this home had something for everyone.
There was even a kids beach pool, children's playground, in-ground trampoline, and indoor
batting cage.
I'm sure their kids absolutely loved all of that.
In addition, the home features a floodlit tennis court, and you'll see Magic has a
thing for tennis in his next property.
There was even a rock climbing wall, making amusement parks look lame.
In addition, the home came complete with a 2,500 square foot RV garage where he probably
set up some sick family trips.
Seeing these photos, it appears the home is perfect for entertaining large crowds, but
hey, with your magic, you can do it.
Probably the home more fans are familiar with, this Beverly Hills estate was Magic's first
big real estate purchase while he was still playing in the NBA.
Magic purchased the home in 1990 for 2.3 million dollars, and the home features over 12,000
square feet and boasts 7 bedrooms and 8 baths.
Now, it's a good thing he held onto this puppy for so long because if he DID decide
to list it today, it could be worth as much as 18 mil.
Not that magic is hurting for the cash or anything, but that's a HUGE increase in value.
Now this particular home is pretty private, but what we do know is a lot like his previous
mansion, the home features an outdoor lagoon swimming pool with grotto and waterfalls.
We can see the sprawling grounds from aerial pics of the place, and you can tell the home
is amazing.
We're talking all the goodies, including that private pool and spa with outdoor entertainment
area, bar, barbecue, kitchen and fire pit.
In addition, there's a private tennis court, just like his other place, for matches against
family members or friends.
Magic's home also features a Laker themed man cave that's just decked out with the championship
rings.
And let me tell you, his trophy room is full of tons of awards, trophies, and the Lakers
logo on the floor adds a nice personal touch.
Continuing this love affair with California, Magic and Cookie snagged a luxurious vacation
home in Orange County back in 2007 for 7.6 million dollars.
The Dana Point Mediterranean Home features 3 stories, 7,764 square feet, and boasts 5
bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms that come complete with majestic views of Catalina Island, the
coastline, or the ocean from almost every window.
I mean, the breathtaking views are inevitable when you own a Tuscan-style villa retreat
perched high on a cliff above the ocean.
The couple hired some help to create the beach home of their dreams.
Cookie mentioned,
Our other house is also Mediterranean, so I wanted the decorating to be a little different
here, a little more on the contemporary side.
The one thing I said is that I really wanted to bring the colours of the water and the
beach inside.
To compliment the house's light walls and dark woods, they added sandy white cushions
and ocean blue pillows.
Even Magic's measurements were taken, he's over 6 foot 9, just to make sure he could
fit on the furniture, and that the chairs were made deep enough and the sofas high enough
to accommodate him.
Magic's family room serves as a primary hangout here with a pool table, and the space
spills out onto a pool flank patio that features a large flat screen TV and glamorous furniture
that matches the interior.
Another popular spot for Magic and Cookie is the living room, which features Chanel
covered sectionals and another flat screen, usually used for video games.
But somehow I doubt it's Cookie playing those.
And you'll be happy to know the home features an elevator, for guests too lazy to take the
stairs.
I just think any home with an elevator is a clear indicator that you've made it.
As you might recall from Magic's first house tour, he loves his movie theatre, so before
purchasing the home he made sure to say to his wife Cookie, all I want is a movie theatre,
and Magic got his theatre.
A pretty nice one might I add.
The home theatre features a 14 seat media room on the first floor boasting padded suede
walls, a 133 inch screen, and a state of the art control system.
At night you can find the family here watching old basketball tapes, action movies, and comedies.
Continuing the list of features in their beach home, Magic has yet another wine cellar, perfect
for wine testing or impressing your guests.
Moving outside the backyard features a luxurious terrace patio, chic pool, and lush gardens
that offer fruit trees topped off nicely with stunning ocean views.
The yard even boasts a private vineyard in case Magic decides to take his entrepreneurial
success to winemaking.
This space was completed with a barbeque area and fire pits, and in addition, there's
another private cozy patio off the master bedroom, and a rooftop terrace that offers
spectacular sunset views.
Alright, so that's all I got for the homes of NBA legend Magic Johnson and his wife Cookie.
The family has definitely lived in some gorgeous homes over the years, and clearly they've
held onto their favourites.
We saw a former mansion they once owned in Las Vegas, their gorgeous Dana Point Beach
home, and what we know about their longtime family mansion in Beverly Hills.
After checking out 3 of their properties, which would you like to live in most?
Honestly, that's difficult for me, but I'm a big Las Vegas lover, so maybe I'd just
take the one that they didn't want anymore.
I mean, it really did have all the amenities.
Be sure to pick your fave or rate Magic and Cookie's homes down in the comments.
