On September 12, 2015, tenor Jonas Kaufmann performed at the Last Night of the Proms at London's Royal Albert Hall, accompanied by the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Chorus under the direction of conductor Marin Alsop. This marked Kaufmann's debut at the event and the second time Alsop led the festivities, following her historic appearance as the first female conductor of the Last Night in 2013.
