Setting Up The Grow Space & Moving Plants Inside || New Grow lights || Dead Plant Tour

This vlog spans almost 5 weeks, so there's a lot that happens, and it happens fast! I have wanted to do a video on how to set a grow space for a long time, but this just wasn't the year for it. I do go over pretty much all the details except for my humidity control and hanging the grow room plastic. I will cover those in future videos. Cleaning up the garage was the first big step on getting my grow space set up. Once I purged and organized, I pulled the pool pond outside and gave it scrub, then changed out some of my grow lights. I gave a brief review of Sansi grow light bulbs and installed a few more of them. Grow lights are a complex topic, but in essence, I use cheap bulbs that have high par values and prefer daylight / full spectrum grow lights. Eventually after doing a lot of cleaning, I gathered up all the small plants I found that had fallen behind and under things in the spring time. I gave a plant tour, but just of plants that should were almost dead. I placed some cryptanthus under a cloche to see if they would recover and heavily watered the rest. When the weather was about to turn I went out and started gathering the houseplants and tropical plants to get them ready to come in. Unpotting the bird of paradise was a lot of fun! Just before moving the plants inside, I set up some humane / no kill mouse traps, then caught and released the mouse, which was adorable. Next I moved all the houseplants into the grow room, and talked about future plans. I still have some work to do on the plant racks. I need to install the self watering cords and put overflows on the humidity basins.
