So we had our plans change a little bit yesterday when the Gates of the Arctic tour was cancelled.
So we have been chasing down with like Fairbanks today seeing if we can charter our own plane.
And we went to the very last stop and then sure enough, we have a chance.
We walked in there and said, can we charter our own plane?
They're like, it's gonna be like $1,500 at least.
We're like, fine, find us a pilot.
We're going straight to the Gates of the Arctic ourselves.
We don't need no tour group.
No, you're gonna see some polar bears.
Let's hope we don't see any polar bears.
We're gonna go there, fly in, stay a couple hours, then fly back.
I'm gonna be co-pilot for this afternoon.
So everybody, please sit down and buckle your seatbelts and get ready for a bumpy ride.
A little chilly.
Tip it.
It's another August afternoon.
So like, we're finally here.
We just got off a very bumpy plane ride.
Got to go through some amazing mountain passes and we're here.
I feel like I've been dreaming of this place of 200 people in the middle of the Arctic.
Unbelievable.
Let's go explore it.
Let's see what's here.
Not at all.
You're the first guys in here today.
Oh, really?
How many people come to this park?
It depends on how you're counting them.
How many people come through this station?
You think like annually?
This place is awesome.
I don't know what else to say.
It's absolutely beautiful and I don't think I'll ever be in a place like this.
It's so cool.
It's so freaking cool.
There's a pretty good wind chill right now.
It feels kind of like knives hitting you in the face because it's really, really cold.
