AC Milan failed to secure all three points when hosting Hellas Verona in the 7th round of Serie A Russoneri must be satisfied with a 2-2 draw Milan escaped defeat thanks to a late goal from Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the second half's injury time Although they didn't get full points in the match against Hellas Verona The Stefano Pioli team is still leading the Italian League with 17 points Unggul 2-0 against Susaulo who drew 0-0 against Udinese in another match The draw between AC Milan and Susaulo in the 7th week has made the competition for the top four positions even more intense Because Napoli and AS Roma were able to close the gap after both achieving victories Napoli took third place in the men's league after securing a narrow 1-0 victory over host Bologna Napoli must thank their new star Victor Osimhen who scored the only goal in the 23rd minute Meanwhile AS Roma intensified the competition for the top four spots after securing a convincing 3-1 victory at Genoa's home ground Hendrik Mkhitaryan became the hero of Roma's victory with his hat-trick Playing at home did not mean AC Milan dominated the game They were instead struggling to cope with the pressure exerted by Verona in the early minutes Indeed Gianluigi Donaruma's goal was immediately breached by Antonin Barak's shot in the 6th minute The Czech Republic-born Verona exploited AC Milan's defensive confusion during a set piece Verona leads 1-0 Verona scored again 13 minutes later breaking Milan's goal once more This time it's Mathia Jakakni's turn to put her name on the scoreboard The 25-year-old striker unleashed a speculative shot from outside the AC Milan penalty area The ball changed direction after hitting Davide Calabria's foot confusing Donaruma Verona extended their lead to 2-0 Missing two goals made AC Milan try to make a comeback They certainly don't want to face humiliation again like three days ago when they were defeated 3-0 in the Europa League At the 27th minute Frank Kessy received a cross from Simon Jair Successfully narrowed the gap to 1-2 After Kessy's goal AC Milan became more energetic AC Milan's frontline launched wave after wave of attacks commanded by the veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic However it did not yield results and the score of 1-2 remained until halftime The golden opportunity to level the playing field has come for AC Milan Violating Frank Kessy in the restricted area forced Wasid to point out a white spot Zlatan Ibrahimović then became Al Gojo but failed to fulfill his duties The Swedish player's kick soared high over Mr Verona's goal AC Milan seemed truly unlucky that night The goal by Davide Calabria in the final moments was disallowed by the referee because Ibrahimovic had committed a foul first as shown on the VAR replay However AC Milan's misfortune finally ended in stoppage time Zlatan Ibrahimovic redeemed his missed penalty by scoring a header from a cross by Ibrahim Dias Ibrahimovic's goal stood until the referee blew the final whistle The match ended in a 2-2 draw Zlatan Ibrahimovic played the full 90 minutes in this match He once again led the AC Milan attack After Helios Verona scored first Ibrahimovic tried hard to lead his team to break through the visitors' defense He always controls the ball and creates space making scoring opportunities for his teammates Ibrahimovic actually had a chance to score from the penalty spot However the execution was not perfect and the ball only hit Mr Goal This did not make him discouraged Ibrahimovic finally became the decisive actor in helping AC Milan secure a point Zlatan Ibrahimovic was seen trying to lead AC Milan by setting an example himself This is evident from his attempt to break into the Helios Verona gate Throughout the match he recorded 14 shots far more than any other Rossoneri player although only 3 were on target Ibrahimovic won aerial duels against opponents 13 times He also recorded 1 interception and 2 crosses Zlatan Ibrahimovic received the highest rating in the AC Milan vs Helios Verona match according to Wooscore His rating was 7.98 and he deserved to be named man of the match in this game After the match Zlatan Ibrahimovic reluctantly admitted he was angry and handed over the role of Milan's penalty taker to Frank Kessie Ibrahimovic was upset because he felt the extra point was not enough for Milan Although Ibrahimovic emphasized that the draw against Verona would not diminish AC Milan's team confidence Marko Silvestri was the star for Helios Verona as he managed to make seven saves during the game In addition there was an exciting moment when Ibrahimovic missed a penalty kick in the 66th minute Silvestri did not save Ibrahimovic's penalty His shot was off-target but there was an intimidating conversation conducted by Marko Silvestri with the 39-year-old player Hello Marko Silvestri Just as Ibrahimovic was about to take the penalty kick the sudden move succeeded and Ibrahimovic's shot failed to score a goal Ibrahimovic said after the match that Marko Silvestri was not wrong I missed the last penalty Zlatan admitted he did not perform at his best in that match Although he managed to stay on the field and score in the 93rd minute Ibrahimovic admitted he was playing in a fatigued condition Age is also an undeniable factor continuously draining his stamina There are many matches and when you are tired you are not always in 100 percent condition Luckily there is an international break because I need a break I don't have the sharpness and determination I usually have when facing the goal I feel like not everything is here We have to play for the target We can't go to the field just with a happy mood to play We also have to win What Zlatan Ibrahimović said aligns with the AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli also confirmed the words of the Swedish player I am here I am listening What Zlatan said is true Playing that much is very tiring This will be a difficult match Opponents like Udinese and Verona have had a few days to rest We have to fight them after the midweek match Everything has become more complicated and we need balance to comment on the performance We want to improve on last year's position and we also want to do our best in Europe A goal from Verona to Gianluigi Donaruma's net came from a set-piece situation Pioli noticed there was an issue regarding that We want to win the league but the lack of attention to set pieces is starting to become a bit of a burden It means we need more attention and organization We must work better but then the team that created all the opportunities couldn't be criticized Pioli also praised his players for their ability to bounce back after losing to Lille and trailing 0-2 against Verona We came from exhaustion and we immediately conceded two goals We had a strong reaction we are a strong team But in Italy there are teams stronger than us like Juve Inter and Napoli And then there are many other teams in the competition Our players are young mature and aware that we will overcome this even in difficult times We arrived exhausted truly worn out but the players knew what awaited us after the international match
