USA vs China 2-0 All Goals & Highlights | December 13, 2015

Bruno Pini, the French coach, taking charge. This is his starting eleven. Some firepower up front for him as well. That'll be the anchor of a new look midfield for Jill Ellis, Julie. Heath with Horan coming into the middle, pushed out wide, and then looking good. Quite three months, the United States, the latest stop of the victory tour, which has produced plenty of just that. Victories, two over Costa Rica, two over Haiti. The overlap, good service to Morgan. And a spin and turn in one forward movement, the ball just getting away from Alex Morgan. A couple of friendlies against Italy. This is Alex Morgan trying to get there. Howie plays with Leon, that's going to be a free kick. Canada has been scoring goals for fun ever since, it appears. Lining it up, Lloyd. Just a little too high. Scored from the penalty spot. Heath delivering the cross, Johnson, big night for her. So excited. Lloyd, trying to open up a seam, and the shot may be on. It's a decent save, Jalina, a full stretch. She's six foot tall, the Chinese goalkeeper. She needed every inch of that to reach Klingenberg's effort. And this is the beauty of this system and what Jill Ellis wants to see. This is the left back. Alec Krieger, meanwhile, recycling Becky Sauerbrunn. It's Lindsay Horan who would just snuck back from an offside position. Spotted by the assistant referee on the near side, PSG. 45 goals for PSG in the season there, 62 appearances. Known to be a great finisher. And that's what you get out of that midfield. Tobin Heath with the corner, free header. It's going to be tough for Morgan to keep it down. As a result, it ends up on the roof of the net. China selecting just to put two in that six. Had in the 90s when they had such success. Well, they were a genuine willpower, weren't they? But it's almost been a case of a missing generation. The move. Cross served in, but no trouble at all for Alyssa Nea. The momentum still with the U.S. In towards Dunn, who's up to win it. Chaolina able to claim. Oh, it's a loose clearance only as far as Carly Lloyd trying to punish Dunn. As the top dog with the Phoenix Coyotes on Friday night. How about that pace for Lian Shanshan there? Getting all the way. It's his last hurrah. This is Crystal Dunn on the left foot. Skewed wide, no deflection. Still against Trinidad. And really, you never felt they were ever going to threaten. And although China's not threatened me much offensively, it gives her a chance. Allie Krieger under duress and forced to cough it up. But trailing foot catching her as she did so. That's expecting. U.S. still struggling for the breakthrough here. Carly Lloyd can provide one in the blink of an eye. And she was able to settle. Shot took a little nick on the way through. Ended up choking me. Are you sure it's going to be in there? More than a few stocking. It's Morgan Bryan who takes over. Shot is blotched. Into the 60-yard box. I'm sure Morgan Bryan really caught hold of it with the punch. Shanshan. Quick combination. Shanshan from distance. Well, that was optimistic. In the end, sort of, with the cutback. Loose clearance. Crystal Dunn. A classy finish from Crystal Dunn. And the breakthrough finally arriving for the United States. Mission this year. Dunn has fed that in. Alex Morgan. That was quite a thing of beauty. But the offside flag is going to mean it doesn't count. Always the spoiler. Half the crowd hasn't realized yet. And for such a beauty. Klingenberg. Can't get there. Back to the challenge with Horan. A player who's been playing in that high target. Crystal Dunn. One of the stars of the first. Morgan Bryan. Hopping up, did well. Again. She's on the move here. Soft control and a surge as well into the penalty area. Morgan on the move. Everything except the finish. She was. And if you're. Just over two full games. Had the three of them out on the pitch at the same time. Who knows? We may see that in the second half. If Sidney Giroux is good to go. Stay tuned for the five-hour energy. It's past October. And two good moves. Flank right away. Immediately. On the ball. Good service. And Alex Morgan. So close to. Opening up the second half in some style. A wry smile on her face. She's thinking, what do I have to do? 1-1 draw last December. As that cross. Floats in. Jalina. Connecting with Alex Morgan. To that goes Tobin Heath. He's walking to high wire. Active. Brilliantly done. Fantastic. Oh. Carly Lloyd. Couldn't crown it. With a finish. A bit of wizardry there for Tobin Heath. Carly Lloyd will not be happy with that. Because this is a beauty. This would have ended up on SportsCenter with that one. Maybe it still will. Shamshan is on the chase here. Naya had to come out and deal with it. Just as well. She was sharply there first. A little too sharply for the liking of Wang Shanshan. Group stages. That shot is on top. Carly Lloyd. Tobin Heath. First effort charged down. Pass. Heather O'Reilly. Surging. The finish. For Morgan is denied. Jalina. Spreading her arms. And denied. Heather O'Reilly. Offside against Lloyd. Come on. Let's make it a little more exciting. Lasting moment for Morgan Bryan. Tobin Heath is looking menacing here. Forgo. Forgo the scholarship with UNC. It's Morgan. She's skipped around one. Options for her. Morgan's come back. Found her at the. Just asking too much to keep. Morgan. Across the face of goal. Heather O'Reilly one in the corner. She's going to get it. Cardella-Samuels agreeing. At the table here. Between these two nations. Being the most frequent opponent. Looking. Swerve on the cross. Firm enough connection from Carly Lloyd. Lloyd. Options. Horan squaring it. Peng. A bit of an up and under. And a test for Elisa Nea. She was forced into the back of the net. The ball goes into the net. It's not going to count. It's almost like a Hail Mary that they see in this stadium. Elisa Nea was underneath it. Highlight was SportsCenter at night on ESPN. Streaming live. Watch ESPN app. It's 11 Eastern. Lovely weight on the pass from Morgan O'Brien. Alex Morgan hitting a strike. Has to settle for the corner. Those in Orlando will be looking. The attack is still on here. And the shot is a low one. And Elisa trying to apply. One back is there. Lovely cut back. And the shot. That's fantastic. She's done it again. Star of the show against Trinidad. And on the score sheet immediately against China. Trying to make things happen. One back arriving in the middle. The international game. One back in the vicinity. A shot over the top from Morgan O'Brien. And the one that gets me. 77. Summit in the midst of the academy. Cover play on the far side. Across it comes. Back off the inside of the post. How did it stay out? Follow-up shot is drilled wide. And the goal. Behind Jalina leading a charmed life there. And this is a great glimpse of what McCaffrey brings. Come back. Outsider is Heather O'Reilly. O'Reilly! Just over the top. Swiftly done though for the U.S., wasn't it? Near post. Heather! And Alyssa Nair. Forced to make her first big save of the night. Right at the death of the game. Li Ying was denied. And with it, the final whistle goes. We'll be happy with it. She got some looks tonight. She played a lot of different players. And that evaluation continues. And she did.
