Disneybounding for a Week Vintage Style

Day one. Too tired to do this. I am actually not doing any sewing in this video. This video idea has been floating around in my head for a while now. Last year I did four vintage Hogwarts looks which I had a blast putting together and I'm constantly coming up with Disney bounds as if I am planning a trip to one of the Disney parks which I'm not and I thought what the heck I'm gonna make a video where I wear these Disney bounds every day for a week because I can. So I actually changed this outfit in my mind last night. I don't know if it's gonna work but we're gonna try it because originally I had this gray skirt, this black vest, you know obviously a white shirt and then this dark purple mauve, I don't know what color this is, bow tie and I was going to be Briar Rose but then I put it on and I just kind of looked like a waiter which is not the vibe I was going for. So scrapped that idea. I came up with something new last night so I decided this blue skirt with the matching vest and this white shirt and do Belle. Tuesday. Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday. Um, happy Tuesday! Uh, yesterday I forgot that I was proctoring an exam at work. Oops. Um, luckily it was a pretty tame outfit like it didn't look much different from what I normally wear to work so I wonder if anyone will notice I'm doing this at work or will they just be like, let's just say I'm just slightly more colorful. I mean I do wear weird things all the time. To be honest, um, I don't see my co-workers a whole lot. I'm kind of in a corner away from everyone else so yeah some days I don't see a single co-worker so I doubt they'll notice. But today we have Mary Poppins! Well I didn't have time to record this morning because I was running late. I blame this monstrosity on my head. Um, but now I'm at work and I have a couple minutes before I have to go inside and so I thought I'd record about how much I love this outfit. I never would have thought to put a purple top with a green skirt, um, but it looks super cute. It's my favorite of the week, um, and I also like my little red flower to, um, you know, a little call back for Ariel's red hair. But now I gotta go inside. Full disclosure, what I said was true that I do come up with Disney bounding outfits all the time but the real reason I am doing this video now is because of this vest. Because I found this vest on Depop and needed an excuse for me to buy it because I don't know if other sewists have this problem but I feel guilty whenever I buy clothes because I could just make them. But vests are hard like they don't look hard but there's a lot of tailoring that goes into vests and I don't like making them and I found this vest and I wanted it and so I did a google search for Disney characters with like a gold or a tan color scheme and I came up with Lady because look it's got teal in it and then like Lady has like the teal dog collar and so I thought it was perfect. So I bought the vest because that's what I need to do. Oh I'm a mess. Also full disclosure it is way too hot for this outfit like this is a 100 silk vest and I have on wool pants and it's it's still hot so I'm probably gonna take this off pretty immediately because this is my work from home day um but yeah I couldn't resist making this outfit. So I wasn't going to make anything for this video like I wanted this video to just be using what I already had but I was like oh a braid with a cute for Rapunzel and so I put a little braid at the top of my head and then I was like I think I need to add flowers but apparently none of the flowers that I had really called back to Rapunzel so I decided to make a new one and voila. So I left this specific outfit for the weekend uh because it is bright um I think it would work great in the parks but yeah it's it's it's loud it kind of screams at you but it's super cute and I hope one day I get to go to Disney and actually wear it. Hint hint Derek. This is what I had planned for Donald Duck. I don't really feel like it's evoking Donald Duck enough though. Looking at other Disney bounds people have put together I think I need some yellow so I'm gonna try that. We're getting somewhere um I don't know if I like the suspenders with the pants. That was a journey. After switching everything out I think I got it. It looks super cartoony but that's kind of the point. I think this is another one that would be super cute in the park but it's a little bright for everyday life. I think it looks super cute. I'm actually really gonna miss this. I really enjoyed getting dressed up every day in like a secret cosplay. I had one of my best weeks like I was just in a great mood the entire week. It was so much fun. I highly suggest doing this because it just makes your week better to secretly dress up every day.
