A COVID survivor's memoir

Sun Yingchun, one of the first seriously ill patients diagnosed with the COVID virus, was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Ditan Hospital in Beijing on ​​New Year's Eve 2020.

At Ditan Hospital, Sun stayed for 28 days, half of which was in the ICU. Most of the time, he lay in bed with all kinds of tubes plugged into his body, and only his legs could move weakly. On one occasion, he said a final goodbye to his family.
