correct Forest Lawn Memorial Park as there are two locations.
Located close to Griffith Park, not far from the Los Angeles Zoo, this idyllic landscape
showcases a unique collection of American artwork with larger than life statues of Washington,
Jefferson and Lincoln.
In this video I'm going to give you guys a walkthrough of Paul Walker's final resting
place and even directions if you plan to take a trip and pay your respects if you ever find
yourself in sunny California.
These videos are made with utmost respect.
We here at Famous Entertainment pride ourselves as being Hollywood historians and we ask that
anyone visiting this or any other cemetery to show as much respect as possible.
Asking for the location of a certain grave could sometimes rub staff or family members
the wrong way.
Celebrity graveyards like Forest Lawn Memorial Park like to upkeep privacy and respect for
the departed.
If you do plan to visit, all we ask is that you do so to pay your respects.
My name is Kara the Vampire Slayer and we're trying something a little different on this
channel.
We've never done a house tour on Paul Walker due to events of this tragedy, but we have
been working on a few new series for you guys.
I love getting in touch with you all both in the comments and over on my personal Instagram.
Please let me know who to feature next and I will see you all after the intro.
Paul Walker, born Paul William Walker the 4th, was born in Glendale, California on September
12th, 1973 and had a lengthy acting career starting as a child actor with roles in daytime
soap operas like Young and the Restless.
Sadly Walker was only 40 years old when he died in a car accident in Santa Clarita, California
on November 30th, 2013.
New details in the joyride that ended in a fiery crash taking actor Paul Walker's life.
The driver, Walker's friend, Roger Rodas, was a pro racer with championship titles to
his name.
Paul Walker and his friend and racing partner, 38 year old Roger Rodas died in a car accident
on this day.
Rodas was driving the vehicle, a limited edition 2005 Porsche Carrera GT when he hit a sidewalk
spun out of control, hitting a light post and tree before the car burst into flames
according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's office report.
No other cars were involved in this accident.
At the time of the impact, the car had been traveling at an estimated 100 miles per hour.
It's still unknown what happened to cause the loss of control.
The accident happened in broad daylight around 3.30pm and neither men were found to be impaired
by drugs or alcohol.
2014 inquiries cited the speed and the car's seldom used 9 year old tires as the primary
factors in the fatal crash.
For Paul's daughter Meadow, who has dealt a tragic blow with the loss of her father,
she received a 10.1 million dollar settlement from the estate of Roger Rodas, and she is
now not only a model, but the founder and president of the Paul Walker Foundation.
The location of Paul Walker's passing has become a popular destination for fans to pay
tribute in and of itself.
Kelly Johnson Parkway in Hercules Street, Santa Clarita, Los Angeles County, California
has become a place where fans meet up to show their respects on the anniversary of his passing.
As many as 6,000 fans have gathered at one time where they left their own variations
of grave flowers, candles, written tributes, and other special mementos in honour of Paul
Walker.
The location of his tombstone is located at 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, California,
9068 in the Hollywood Hills neighbourhood of Los Angeles.
Walker doesn't have the usual type of gravestone most people are familiar with and are expecting.
He's buried in a garden style family plot without an individual gravestone.
His family name, Walker, is on a plaque on the wall at the head of the plot.
There is no other marker.
The cemetery is huge, with as I mentioned hundreds if not thousands of gravestones memorializing
Hollywood stars of the past 100 years plus.
To get to his grave site, follow these directions.
Use the main entrance on Forest Lawn Drive.
Continue on Memorial Drive, which is the road you'll enter into.
Turn left into Memorial Lane, turn right onto Ascension Drive, and the Court of Liberty
will be on your right.
This particular site was chosen by his family, including his brother Cody, who stepped in
as a body double for Paul's unfinished work in the Fast and the Furious franchise.
His remains were cremated, and a small intimate funeral was held a few short days following
this tragedy.
Today, years after his passing, his specific grave site is one often filled with flowers
and tokens, including toy cars or his favourite snacks, red vines that fans leave in memory.
If you do plan on taking a visit to this site, we ask again that you do so showing the utmost
respect.
