CHUNCHEON + NAMI ISLAND TRAVEL DIARY 🇰🇷 Korea Vlog

I like trees. I like them too. Coffee. Off to Chuncheon. Hello everyone. It is me, Nessie again. And today I am starting off the vlog in Chuncheon. We have been taking weekend trips out of Seoul every single weekend. And this week is Chuncheon. Right now we are in Myeongdong street. Chuncheon is famous for its Dakgalbi. And Myeongdong has a Myeongdong Dakgalbi street. Best stop of the day. Dakgalbi restaurant. Cathy has found BTS. And she's going to take a sly selfie. Let's go. No selfie. That's so weird. No selfie. Alright. Sly selfie. Where's your love? Which one's your love? Here we go. Okay. Let me take a photo for you. Keep getting distracted on our quest for Dakgalbi. We just left that store. Surprisingly, we didn't buy anything. We've been super responsible. And we have now made our way to Dakgalbi street. And just picking which one to go into. We're going to go by which one has the most people in it. And I think the first one we passed by back there seemed the most popular. So we're probably going to go with that. But just giving all of them a chance. They all seem super famous because each of them seems to appear on... MBK, KBS, SBS. Yes. Look at this. Oh, this one has a lot of people too. Alright. I think we've made our decision, right? Turn around. Let's go. There's surprisingly not that many people along the street today. And I feel like maybe it's because we came on a Friday. And people usually make a weekend or a day trip to Chuncheon. There would probably be a lot more people on Saturday and Sundays. Are we early for dinner? We're not. We're late. It's 8pm right now. So I think we're going to go back to the first one that we saw earlier. And have some dinner. Let's go. We have ordered Dakgalbi. We're just waiting for it to cook right now. Let's take a look. Can't wait. It looks delicious. We can just hear the sound of it frying. It sounds so good. It tastes different to the ones that we had in Seoul. But it's really good. The meat is really tender. I'm wrapped now. Fried rice. We need to eat fried rice. But then someone messaged us and asked us if we were in Chuncheon. And she's here with Dolphin. Hi Dolphin. They've already finished eating Dakgalbi along the same street that we were. So now they're going to sit here and watch us eat. It looks delicious. So apparently, Jungmi and Dolphin were sitting in a restaurant less than 10 meters away from us. What a small world. Eat. She's had too much already. Let's try. What do you have to buy? A sun hat. She solved that question. Properly. I'm starting to forget my English. She had to practice that word for a few times before she said it. Bye. We might meet again in Chuncheon. We smashed that. There's literally nothing left in the pan anymore. And we are about to go. Yay. Let's go. I love it. We get ice cream. And I don't know what the huge field looks like. It's going to be so pretty. So we're taking a trip kind of into the countryside. The view is really pretty. Let me show you guys. Just got off the bus in the middle of the countryside. And now we have a bit of a walk in front of us. So sunny. But hopefully the view will be worth it. I've got my sun hat. Cathy's got her umbrella. We're here. Let's go inside. And we're sitting down now. I got myself a blueberry ade. And Cathy got... Tomato juice. Tomato, if you're Aussie like me. Have you tried it yet? Yes. Cheers. I feel so healthy right now. They put real blueberry in here. It's a bit sweet. Oh, also sour at the same time. The real taste of blueberry. But it is delicious. If you're wondering... Let me try this first. It's not... Yeah, the last tomato juice I tried was really salty. But this one is really good. It tastes really fresh. So if you guys are wondering what my hand is doing here. I'm holding an umbrella. Because we couldn't find a table inside. There were too many people. Also, that's where all of Chuncheon's people are. We were walking through Chuncheon. And we were wondering why there wasn't anyone in the city. It seemed like a very empty city. But the reason why is because of this place. Everyone is inside that cafe. There's more people inside this one cafe than in all of Chuncheon. Yeah, those two restaurants. Yeah, and in all of the restaurants as well. So, if you're wondering where it's at. It's right here. Here's the name of the cafe if you guys are interested. Really good. Highly recommend. And we have a beautiful view which we're going to be shooting later. Let's take a look. I don't know if you guys can tell. But... Oh, that's the umbrella. Right in front of us is a beautiful field of canola flowers. At least I think they're canola. They're yellow. We're going to be going inside there later. Because there's a row of four yellow seats. That is apparently the Instagram spot. So, we're going to do that later. But first, we're going to rest for a while and enjoy the free Wi-Fi. I'm about to say that this Chuncheon vlog probably won't see us doing so many tourist attractions per se. Because Cathy and I really came here to just chill out, right? We're just spending a slow weekend here. Out and away of the hustle and bustle of Seoul. And into the countryside. The atmosphere is so nice. Say hi to Cathy's hair. Cathy's coming inside. The atmosphere is so nice. It's so chill and I don't want to leave. I'm eyeing on another spot. Yeah, because that's shade. The girl is probably going to leave. But, let's see. We found a little shady corner. And I think we're going to sit here for a while. We're kind of waiting for the sun to be less strong. So that we can go out and take photos. This is what we came for. So pretty. Look at this entire field of flowers. My heart. Alright guys, we have finally finished taking photos. It's so sunny outside. So we are back under the safety of our umbrella. And heading off to our next destination. The way to the next destination looks like this. We're currently walking in the middle of the countryside. It's so beautiful here. But we're also really worried. Because we don't really know if there's another bus coming. What do we do? So we checked Kakao Maps. And usually Kakao Maps shows how many minutes until the next bus comes. But now it says there's no data. So we're kind of getting a bit worried here. But, fingers crossed that there is one. Otherwise we're going to be stuck here for a while. Guys, I think we're going to have to walk back to the other bus station. So, 10 kilometers away. Let's do it. Back in civilization. It only took us, what, 2 hours? Back in our favorite Myeongdong street. For some more shopping. Because apparently that's all we know how to do. Let's go. Chongcheon shops are rad. Just admiring through the bags. Hi guys. We're inside this Japanese restaurant. Just got ourselves some gyudon. Some katsudon. Some banchan. And miso soup. Bon appetit. Let's mix it. And we are back inside the guest house now. Getting ready to settle into a night of sorting through photos. Editing videos. And also packing our clothes. Because tomorrow is going to be our last day in Chuncheon. But it's not over yet. Because this vlog is, again, continuing until tomorrow. I'm probably going to just put all of the Chuncheon vlogs into the same vlog. Anyway, tomorrow we are going to Nami Island. So I will see you guys tomorrow morning. Good morning everyone. We are starting off the day at 11am. Because it's time to check out of our own B&B. But this is not going to be all for our Chuncheon trip. Because where are we off to? We're going to Nami. Nami Island. Let's go. I've got my hair up right now. Because it's a bit hot. And I don't want to get sweaty before we actually get to Nami Island. So let's go. Hi guys. We made it to the station. And Cathy is standing like this so that light can hit her face. Despite wearing a hat. Earlier I just turned on the camera and she was like, Oh my god, my face is so dark. Look at this. We just made it to... Right now we are waiting at Nam Chuncheon station. For the subway that will take us to Gapyeong. So that we can go to Nami Island. We have arrived at the wharf. And about to get on the ferry. Hi guys. We are in Nami Island now. We just went to store our luggage. And then now we are about to get ready to explore. Let's go. We are just taking a walk by the water side over here. We were trying to look on the map to figure out where we wanted to go. Except we figured that even if we chose places we wanted to go. And tried to follow the map. We'd probably get lost anyway. So we are just going to leave it up to fate. Just going to see where this road takes us. That sounds so deep. But really though. This place is so nice. There's so much greenery. It's really peaceful. And there's so many cute couples walking around. All dressed in their couple outfits of course.
