James Lindsay explains the struggle within modern Marxist ideology to synthesize the concepts of 'freedom' and 'justice,' explaining that the ideas are essentially dialectical opposites of each other. Lindsay charges progressive leaders with engaging in doublespeak by claiming that more restrictions and rules are needed in order to achieve freedom, especially when it concerns COVID-19 mandates. This type of thinking, he argues, is illogical, and a product of a Marxist "inversion of reality."
