Snooker HeadCam Open Table Cushion Challenge.

Okay so we're trying to clear the table with the balls in for clearing the table purposes anyway. We drop the chalk, well quite a nice straightforward position and yeah normally this wouldn't be too bad a chance to clear the table but there's a twist to this that makes it non-impossible unfortunately. So I thought we should just look quite good because I know a lot of you haven't been able to get near a table recently so I thought we could just do this and it would look like you're putting some balls I hope. Depends how well I film it I suppose but yeah the twist to it that makes it nigh on impossible is every time we hit a cushion with a cue ball we have to switch hands and as you can tell right-handed as I'm playing now you know we're gonna have a decent chance of clearing the table especially with balls in this nice comfortable position. Left-handed I'd be lucky if I put a couple of balls together. So as you can see I'm avoiding hitting the cushion at all costs because I've left myself quite a tricky black there but yeah the plan is, if there is a plan, is to get rid of those balls around the black spot. That's just literally going towards the cushion and then try and get around the pink like this. So we've done that we've got rid of especially that red below the black that was the key one to get rid of. Now it's just all about opening up the pink spot area just trying to keep the cue ball central hopefully we can avoid hitting the cushions. It's kind of like avoid hitting the cushions at all costs at the moment. I'm here again. How have I ended up here again? Fortunately there's not a lot I can do here so we're going to just play on and off the cushion. That seems silly from there but trust me I would have hit a cushion off the black on the next shot otherwise. So I'm hoping I can pop this left-handed somehow. That's not such a good idea. Just hopefully get off the cushion. Oh we've done well. Off the cushion and are we on a red other than the one we're on top of? We're on that one. Right we might need the spider for this. I'll get to reach it so we don't push it. I'm going to just play it the right hand side to try and hold the cue ball. Yeah just about get away with that and hold it straight. So we're on the pink nice in position well not quite we're on the cushion a bit but other than that it's all good. It's all good when they're going that central. So just want to stay around the pink spot now mostly play a few blues probably but can I reach that one? I don't want to play that with the rest. That one's right in the way is the only thing. Ended up on too many balls. Right we're going to stun up on this red try and get top side of the blue because I don't want to have to play that red there. He walked into the table. That's why we lost the cue ball a little bit because I just wanted to make sure we finish top side. It's going to stun down into the middle of them there. Hopefully we had to get on those couple. Might have to play it with the rest now. I just want to I don't think I've gone on it anyway but pulling this red screwing back across the table for the pink it's pretty good. Good control of the cue ball at the moment which is nice. If I get rid of that other red the pink goes into every pocket then. Now it won't go into that one at the moment until I pop this red. So those two are the last two that with what we're doing are a little bit awkward. Just got to make sure we go the other side of straight on the pink here. A bit worrying there because I was pulling it quite hard into the outside of the pocket but um yeah. Got to get on those two in a minute. Probably just screw this one back though. Trying to play that one into that pocket and that will leave the other one into the middle then. So we just want to finish a little bit this side straight on the pink. A lot this side is straight. Should be okay just to hold it. We've got the one middle if it isn't. So just going to play a controlled screw shot here. Rocking and rolling on that one. I could feel myself moving. That didn't go well. We cut it. Overcut it. Ah okay. Gonna play for the blue then. Don't realise until we get away from the pink spot how difficult staying away from a cushion is. Should be all right here because we're just going to roll this down. Got to play down for the pink next shot but it's all going to be about how well we can get on this pink. Let's see how well we can do it. Spot on. Right. Actually could have done with a little fraction further but never mind. Just going to get on this red. Can't. Thinking it's going perfect and it's just gone half a ball too much. That was a tricky shot there. Okay now we're going to do a fast forward break so we can get the extensions out and everything. And we're back. Still don't know exactly how to play this. Do with being exactly in position but we're just going to screw it back. I could feel my cues lighter without the... Right we're back again after the extension break. Ah what do we do? Just wanted to go another inch and a half and absolutely spot on. I think we're going to have to screw back across the table. Yeah. Well we can cut it in I suppose. We'll be on the black. Hopefully. Oh my god we got it. Right and I was about to say we're in trouble because we've got to pop the black and come off the cushion but we're not. Okay so pop the pink down for the down the table for the yellow. Forgot about the cushion thing. I was leaving myself on and off the... Oh no. What's Mark Selby doing here? Is he going to bring it back to full reach? I can't believe I was... I looked round and he's gone behind in that. Right. That's right we can stay away from the cushion. We're not going to be clued close to the green. Right. One close control shot on the brown. I always play brown to blue off the side cushion so obviously today we won't be doing that. So nice straight pop. Oh I hope I'm not too straight. Yes this is good now. I'm liking this. We can just screw down for the blue. Hopefully this is all recording nicely. Yeah as long as you don't do that... Oh what an idiot. Literally the only thing I had to do there... Oh well we're gonna have to pop one left-handed again. Or are we? No I only have to play one decent positional shot. Okay left-handed shot is next then. Make it more fun. This is like left-handed with the rest which I don't even know if I can do. If I get this this is just stupid. Let's have a few practices of this because I don't think I've ever done this before. Oh this will be good. This is like first time ever playing a shot left-handed with the rest. Resting my elbow on the table won't be good. Let's just get in the right position and go tap. Oh my god. So of course we're going to have another go at that but first we're going to find Joji who's from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Wherever Vietnam is. Which is there. All right we're going to have another go at that because like I said I don't think I've ever had to play a shot left-handed with the rest before. So yeah that was just so awkward. Even holding the rest with my right hand felt weird. So anyway I'm going to try and avoid the cushions at all costs this time. Which hasn't helped. We're trying to play down for this red and we're not good in position on it. I think you maybe play a red up the table. But no we're going to just screw it back and play for an angle on the black. That's not too bad. I think we're just going to cannon that red. So we can just drop this in. As long as that doesn't go safe. Yeah that's gone quite well. It's blocked a bit by the other red. We just want to get these two reds gone below the pink spot. And those two now. Might be able to play for them in the middle in a minute. Right. Be a bit careful here. Just take the right balls. Right okay. Just going to stun this in. Put that one. Let's screw back the pink in the same size we just pondered it. The angle. Make a bit more angle if we can. Which we have. We can screw back for this red in the pockets we pondered the pink. Flick by there. There we go. We want to get rid of this red in a second. So I'm just going to run down for this. Punch it in for the pink. That should give us the angle to hold for that red. Get back up to the pink on the same position I think. This all goes right. Yeah that has. So now we want to leave ourselves an angle to get onto these two over here hopefully. Means just being slightly off straight. The pink gone too far. That's okay because we've got that one up there. It's going to be easier to play on off the blue. And that one's out of the way. So we're just going to play the easy shots here. It's probably easy. I mean even if we finish straight on the pink in a second we can pot them in the middle pocket. Hopefully that's gone just far enough. No but we've got a red just below the blue. Like that. Also play the one above it still but we can pot this. Play for either the pink or the black here. Just get through the ball enough. Yep right. It's a little bit awkward as that's blocked. Everything's blocking each other now. So just make sure we don't go too far on this. So just going to drop it in. It's pretty good. That gets that out the way. Still got the problem of those two reds. I think we can deal with it now if we get topside on the blue. Yep topside. We've just got to try and punch the cube one to the right position. We've got the other two if anything goes wrong. Hopefully that's dead straight. I think it's a slight angle but we're okay. Just screw this back onto the blue. Take no chances. High on it. Play for the other one now. Just a little backspin. Oh that's just gone in. Nearly miscued that. Right as we're on that red we're going to play it. So screw this back for the pink. A little screw shot. A bit too much backspin here. Hopefully we're straight. Yes both of those reds go. So probably take one with the another one will go up for the blue. Might be annoyingly in the middle there. Can I stun this? Yeah I can stun this and hold for the pink. Get the angle right. I'm just going to go low side on the pink. Not quite far enough but I can just screw it straight back the other middle pocket. Held that too well. Didn't screw that back enough though. Now we've got a choice to make. Can I hold for a bold colour here without hitting a cushion? I don't think I can. So we're just going to have to belt this longer red in. Stun back for the blue. Get the angle right. That's pretty good. Right. Could have done with going a little bit further here. I can just tap this in. I don't know whether to run this through or stun it a little bit. But anyway. Might just run it through dead weight. Stop the cue ball. That was always going to be the problem with doing it like that. We've got to run down the table now for the bold colours. Yeah that's pretty good. Should have just played that. I don't know what I was worried about. Right. Just want to control this down for the brown hopefully. Maybe the yellow. I didn't think this could be awkward. Of course it is. Of course this is awkward. This might be a long blue again. Or a long shot like this blue. Right we've got it. Just got to control the back spin again. There we go. Couldn't be in a better position now. Didn't even think I could end up in an awkward position like that. That was pretty weird. Right. So. Just going to screw this back. Put it straight green. Don't want to overdo it. I'm overdoing that. Are we okay? We're alright. Didn't go too far. Just going to stun this in then. Back a little bit. I have a feeling we're just about controllable without hitting a cushion here. Just about got the control. Without overdoing it or hitting a cushion. Just want to nice and slowly. I say just about. How well have we played that? That's insane. Okay. So normally easy shot on and off the top cushion. But this time. You have to take a chance and play the cannon. No we've missed the cannon. Oh no. Oh. How am I doing getting this wrong? For God's sake. If I hadn't hit the cushion there. That would have been. Right. I'll tell you what I'm going to play. I'm going to cut that yellow. Cut the pink into that middle pocket. Because if we do it like that. We've got half a chance of leaving ourselves a right-handed shot for the black. Oh well. We tried. We'll have to have a go at that again. Twice now we failed. But I'm sure I can get it next time. Probably need to do some more colour clearances. Because I keep missing.
