From the beautiful island of Panglaubahol we're going on a trip up north
A little over 200 kilometers from Metro Manila
You'll reach the second destination of Ju on the go
The City of Pines Baguio City
Hey guys we're here right now at the manor
at Camp John Hay Let's bring up our equipment
Before we begin this long day and beautiful adventure here
in Baguio I'll show you the room later but we're running late
Let's go See you around
Also called the summer capital of the Philippines Baguio
City has become a top destination that tourists visit
And people like me who want to take a break from the noise of the
bustling city Baguio is a must-visit on every traveler's bucket list
Cold weather is not the only reason but also the
activities and of course my favorite part food
So super exciting because I've been to Baguio a couple
of times but I haven't been here on this bridge yet
Right now we are in the colors of
Stobosa we are standing in the bridge
A little trivia lang before hindi to painted with different colors
but in 2016 these young homeowners here decided to paint their houses
Because at some point before 2016 it was somewhat of an eyesore
and it has quickly become the first and largest community artwork
So this is Colors of Stobosa Tara
Wow Look how steep that is
This brings back memories yeah if you guys can recall
the stairs going to the chocolate hills were really steep
Look how beautiful that is because even the staircase merong artwork
and you can see that it really
is colorful all the way up It never ends
Stobosa is an acronym for Stonehill Butiwtiw and Sajap which are
the names of the barangays in the capital of Benguet La Trinidad
I think you should take some pictures and I would
really recommend this spot because it's so Instagrammable
So we are on our way to the strawberry farm now I've always just
heard about the strawberry farm but
I never got the chance to stop by
First time here at Colors
of Stobosa It was really nice
But I do see it already every time we're here in Baguio
But it's different to actually be on that bridge and walk up the stairs like
the homeowners who live there in that
area See you guys later strawberry farm
So when were planning this trip we decided to
prioritize the destinations that were a bit farther away
Alika let's go
After a little over 20 minutes from the Colors
of Stobosa we are now at the strawberry farm
And I heard that it's impossible not to have strawberry while we're
here And while this is my first time being here come on let's try it out
Actually I was given a little strawberry ice
cream and I couldn't resist It tastes so good But let's have more and talk about it as we go around
Let's go
Since we're at the strawberry farm there's a strawberry wall
What percentage is that
12 percent
Oh my goodness
Ooh Delicious
Which one is that
Let's take that
350 now
350
We'll come back to that
Can you make strawberry
taho Yes ma'am
So how does it happen
I put strawberry and then brown sugar ma'am
Then that's it Brown sugar
that's right Really
Can I try that
No breakfast no lunch yet
So my older brother made it himself
Wow looks good big brother
Yes ma'am
Correct correct
Get one fresh strawberries
Yes ma'am
Bring two
Oh my That's really good
Must try must try Kanina
it's a little bit cooler
a little bit colder
But now that it's 12:10 we're starting to feel the heat
But later it's a bit chilly again
A strawberry
taho is 50 pesos What is this
What is this made of po
Young rice
Sticky young rice
The name for this
is pilipig Pilipig
What is it po
Pilipig Of course I know what pilipig is
Ah this is
different What is this then
He is a native ma'am
He's a
local Filipino
We'll eat later because we're about
to enter the farm Here we go everyone
So we arrived during the peak season of the strawberry farm
So right now there are not many strawberries left
So let's not pick anymore Let's
just take a tour
Just look around
This is gooseberry
How delicious Patry
It's so different
It's not just pure strawberry
Wow it looks so fresh
Imagine eating that straight
from there Better food
better future Reminder to
self yeah Choose good food
We saw a store in the middle of the farm
Let's go check it out
Usually how is the setup here
Can you supply markets outside
Or should they be bought directly here
It depends ma'am on the alimony farm
So each owner has 500 square meters
So nothing less nothing more
Ah okay
So interesting
So she mentioned a while ago that per area someone owns this
So now we know that specifically per 500 square meters it belongs to them
But can anyone buy it
Yes ma'am
Very fresh
Very fresh
Fresh from the farm
Question ma'am
Would you recommend a straight sila to buy here at the farm
Or at the market
It depends ma'am on what's the best sila they can get
easily Yes
Correct
So I think it's probably because I got picked up here
I think it's still much better to buy directly from the farm
Because it's more affordable
It's more affordable and very fresh
December is the peak season for strawberries
December to
To May
So the farm suffered a lot during the pandemic
But what would you say now as we speak
it's better times for her after the pandemic and then the flood
Better now
But that's the end of the season
So after May
the vegetables aren't really producing anymore
So we talked to Ate Obviously I also learned a lot about
this farm in just a
simple conversation with her
That's why it's really good to ask When you do ask there's so much more to
learn So hopefully we can come back in December
during the peak of the strawberry season
But right now since were able to just walk around I guess we're done
here And I'm excited because speaking of greens
and fresh greens straight from the farm
We're going to a restaurant called OMG
Oh My Vegetables
Let's find out
Let's ask the people there how fresh their vegetables are there
And if possible they also get fresh vegetables here
Hey guys I just
wanted to let you know where we're going
So right now we're just making our way to Oh My Gulay
which happens to be on the fifth floor of the building
Imagine this 1:30 PM
We haven't had breakfast or lunch yet
Then we're going up again
10 comments
You shall not speak in half
Make a fool of yourself because heaven is tight
Gold is still valuable
even when the magician
is dead
No comment Wow How beautiful
Wow guys This restaurant
is nicely done
I'm so full guys So here
we are at Oh My Gulay
This is the most famous restaurant here in Bali
It's vegan
Obviously they don't serve meat here
Okay I will try General
Luna's Punyetang Shitake I
love that name It's because I watched General Luna
And then for my drink I would like to have Dayak Ice Tea
What is this
This is broccoli dough pasta with pesto
Oh pesto
This is General Luna's
Punyetang Shitake It's
delicious You'll definitely
get addicted I'm starving
So this is the Dayak Ice Tea
Let's try it
Oh wow That's
so good Sarap The Dayak Ice Tea
is lime-infused
brewed ice tea
It's really good
So now we're going to try the Broccia ni Antonio Luna
It's pesto with homemade tomato sauce
So let's see
It's fresh
Very fresh
I really try so hard Like I try so hard to make sure
that I make the right food choices Especially
that I'm 25 and I'm getting older
I appreciate restaurants like this because
they make the experience of you know
the journey of being
healthier easier When you see one okay a healthy restaurant
I mean just give it a shot because right now I'm enjoying my meal so much
We already know that Pete
Usually it's healthy to eat after 13 minutes
to an hour I'm starving
again It feels so good
Like when I take a bite of your
pesto pasta it feels so
light so fresh We're done eating It's
time to explore the restaurant
So beautiful this restaurant
is I appreciate it
so much because everything was just
they're here It's homey it's cozy
There's so much art to see
Let's look at some of them
Are those young artworks for sale or for display
It depends
It depends
It's really the little details like this that make
some places really special
I love furniture like this
This is Mr Kidlat the national
artist for film It seems
like I keep seeing more
and more artworks Is he cute too
Baguio is more than just attractive
because of its tourist spots and famous
art spaces What makes Baguio even more
beautiful is how creative the people are
We have several world-renowned
artists here in Baguio like Benedicto
Cabrera also known as Ben Cab
national artist for film Kidlat Tahimik
Filipino sculptor Ben Hurvilenueva just to name a
few whose legacies will remain
for the future generations to see Taking
inspiration from the picturesque landscape
and rich culture and heritage of the city
Okay guys so our next destination
I'm really excited about this because I love books
And that's not something that a lot of people know about me
We're heading to the Mount Cloud Library now
Session Road everyone
He's that busy
Hey everyone we're finally here at Mount Cloud Bookshop I'm really
excited It's pretty quiet here so
I don't want to make a lot of noise
Let's see what they have in there and let's get to know more local authors
Happy Pride Month Hello besties
How long has Mount Cloud Bookshop been
open Since 2010 but this is a new location
We were in Queso Vallejo from 2010 to 2019
Why would you say this bookstore is really famous
Does she really get mobbed by tourists when they come to visit
Well first of all she's been there for a long time
Since 2010 it's our theme because
we're a Filipiniana bookshop
Around 80% of the books are from local authors and artists The goal
of the bookshop is to showcase local
talents You read I'm sure you read
What would you say is your favorite local author
Right now I'm really into Nick Joaquin
Probably "Classic" is Merlinda Lopez If it was my first time to read
a book by a local author which one
would you recommend for a beginner
Probably depends on what genre you like
We have so many poets Filipino poets
The popular one we have now is Wing of the Locust
It's high fantasy about pre-colonial history of the Philippines
And those are Nick Joaquin's
This is fantasy
Those are his collection of works
It's about a call center in the Philippines
It's like a heist
Oh really
That's one of our silent bestsellers
How about a love story
A love story
The title is Salamangka
What exactly is Salamangka
Magician
We also have classic books from Bob Ong and Ricky Lee
How about his poems
This is our bestseller
I would recommend this because he's so recent
And his daughter died
He is part of the activists recently
So apparently the emotions are still raw
That's from a local artist
Yeah her name is Ketania I got your
bookmarks Thank you
so much for
allowing us to interview you when introducing this
office Welcome back what's your name Jonah
Well so Jonah Alright so before
heading out we saw that you
could live So what is one life advice you can't afford yet
They have so much of this
Hey guys we are now currently in Baguio Botanical Garden We want
to see the Japanese Tunnel I have
no idea what to expect actually
So what do you guys want to visit here
The entrance fee for adults is 10 pesos
For children it's just 5 pesos
It's affordable
Anyone can experience
It's getting a bit chilly
Finally we're at the Japanese
Tunnel Wow Here
It's delicious
No one wants to be first
My eyes are sore
It's a bunker yeah
There's still some left
But I can't
I'm scared
Charged
Where did they put it here
Yes
Also guys it's raining
Here no they store it
The bombs Yeah
It's going to rain really hard
So we just came out of the Japanese Tunnel We
stayed inside Because were
a bit scared of the dark
Although it's raining hard So I think we'll
be back there in a while
Because it's pouring
Okay you will find the Japanese Tunnel here at the
heart of Baguio City Inside the Baguio Botanical Garden
So this Japanese Tunnel was used as a bunker by Japanese soldiers during World War II
And actually when you go in it really is a bunker
There are other people going inside
as well It's really dark inside But
it's cold You really need someone with you when you enter Japanese soldiers
The Japanese Tunnel is just a part of this huge
location There are many places to visit and explore
You can find food stalls and places inside where you can buy food to have a picnic nearby
The entrance fee is definitely worth it
There's also a wonderful place
to actually visit the Botanical Garden here in the heart of Baguio City It's really nice So
many nice flowers Nice and plants
Again the Japanese
Tunnel It's really
dark inside We got
too much footage Dark
You will also see halos
We are here at the souvenir shop of the Botanical Garden as you head out as you exit
Next up on our itinerary is the Chocolateria that Julia really needs
Because she's so sleepy
Yes
We really need an energy boost
Let's visit an artisanal cafe famous
for everything chocolate located at Igorot Stairs Hey guys
So we're here now at Chocolateria
It's a very well-known spot here in Baguio
We are kind of tired also kind of sleepy
Because we came directly from the funeral
We need sweetness we need sugar Hello
The lighting is nice here
Okay so we've got the menu
Famous for everything cao
This is what they have
Choco-a choco-el choco-disk choco-nut choco-malt choco-silly
Frozen hot chocolate choco-barako
Okay let's just ask for the bestseller
Let Kuya Rolo be our server today at Chocolateria
Hi Kuya
How long has Chocolateria been
here Since 2015
Okay so since 2015
What would you say is your bestseller on the menu
It's the original one really
Like the Chocolate-a then Chocolate-o
Then the difference is our Choco-a is sweet
And then young Chocolate-a bitter-sweet mo
Just give me a Choco-a
Because we want something sweet
They have them here Baguio Brew Choco-barako
They have fraps smoothies
Choco-a has arrived

need to mix him using a battery

Hey guys so we're now at Gypsy Baguio I've eaten here before
The last time my sister and I really enjoyed the ube latte here
which we're going to have again today
Tara let's order and then later we'll try and see
Tonight they're Croque Madame It's a ham and cheese sandwich with sweet potato
shoestring fries We also have this type of
dumpling inside this spinach and artichoke
This one's really good I love any ham and cheese sandwich And
then maybe a sunny-side up egg
Plus I'd like a little more flavor
Hey guys so we just had dinner
Now we're going to have dessert
here We're going to have the
ube latte Miss MJ make it for us
This one is really good
Thank you
Thank you so much
It's delicious sis
The real Baguio experience is incomplete without visiting
the night market So let's go there to cap off the day
From ukay-ukay accessories and even
food trips you can find all of that here
at the night market This is located beside Burnham Park along Harrison Road
And this is open from 9 p m until early morning
Good morning guys It is our
second day here in Baguio
and we are now in what they call the historical core
Which you can still find here in Camp John Hay
Why are we here
Actually the place we really came here to is the Cemetery of Negativism
People seek to release negative thoughts
and negative energy
But before they come
in we're going to tell them Hello good
morning How much is the
entrance fee Php 48 for tourists
Students seniors Php 36
Then kids free of charge
So bashers come
here only Php 48 Cemetery of Negativism
It's a beautiful day guys
It's currently between 18 to 20 degrees Celsius in Baguio
Of course in Baguio many people know about the Liberal House
about the Diplomat Hotel where lost souls may be wandering
But at the Cemetery of Negativism they don't bury people here
They bury negative thoughts negative feelings and negative energy here
And then we also learned a little bit of history about this place
In the 80s there was a commander named John Hightower who believed
that the burdens of soldiers were their negative thoughts and feelings
That really hinders them from reaching their full potential
So they decided to hold a funeral for negative thoughts and negative feelings
I feel like it's a nice place to go to in the
morning Right now it's just 8:30
It's a nice time to really have some alone time
If I have any negative energy just leave it here
I'm gonna leave everything here
All my worries all the fears all my anxiousness
Leave leave
But one of the things that also caught my attention is this place
So this entire place is called the Historical Core
The whole place right
For all weddings or any event
This is a nice beautiful location
Okay guys
Our next destination of course is Baguio and we can't
go there without buying souvenirs for our one-on-ones
So we're going to Good Shepherd
Go there people who want to buy souvenirs and delicacies
I can't go to Baguio without buying something for the mother goose
We wanted to stop by Good Shepherd as planned to buy some delicacies
ube jam and souvenirs for our families
But when we arrive you'll see the line is very long
We asked them what time they started queuing
5 a m So noted
Next time when we want to visit Good Shepherd we
need to be there by 5 a m We are already there
But we also found out that it was
the same during the pandemic because
the pandemic is still ongoing I think it's more about safety protocols
And then Ilan Lang was the maximum that could enter the store itself
So they're being extra cautious and extra safe
But next time let's go there to Good Shepherd
Right now we are on our way to Hatch for breakfast
Because after breakfast we have another destination to visit
coming up in our next few episodes
Because the line was long we didn't get off because were running late
I definitely don't want to get in line
So my team just started asking around
What should we recommend buying next time we come here
The product from Good Shepherd
Since ever Naman every time
we visit Baguio we buy
No probably after 3 years since we came back again
this is the first time we've experienced such a kiwi
Yung very ano kasi nila famous na talagang kinukuha
namin dito is yung ube jam
This is my first time visiting here
Bali I'm excited to buy their ube jam
It's very tasty really
Also of course the strawberry jam
Good morning everyone We finally made it to Hatch Coffee This is also my
personal favorite in Baguio
So I decided to bring the team here so they could try it here
Grilled cheese that V is having longganisan There's also
ube grilled cheese that Vinge is going to review for us
We really are the ube
Makeup after all
So let's try the first bite
Actually I really do eat ube but let's try it
Do you know those ube cheese pandesal
That's the scene
If it's out of 5 what would you give him
5 feeling like 5 Oh perfect Nice one Vange
Since I'm not eating ube
anyway it's delicious
You don't have a standard too
I don't have a standard either
Here try the plain grilled
cheese Let's see if you can handle it guys
Cheese pizza
Okay the next one to review for the longganisan
Oh another review
3 Okay
why I have it in the
longganisan So
just a standard one
Just a standard one
So what do you think is missing to
make it 5 Garlic That's according
to people's preferences
So you prefer your longganisan with more garlic
Garlic oo
Okay you guys
Before we head out I'm gonna give you guys a room tour
We had this fight on our first date
This is our room in the manor Thank you so
much to Kluk for helping us book this room
If you guys want to book any vacation stays Kluk can help you out with
that So this was booked through Kluk
with the help of Kluk thank you again
We are currently in a room that has two bedrooms This is also a
family villa style I think it's
perfect for when you're on vacation
May it be with family or friends So
right now we're at the dining area
of the room And what's nice is that you also have a view of outside
You have a balcony and you just see a lot of nature And that very therapeutic
sound of the water the little waterfall
out there And then here is our living area
Which I like a lot because it's super cozy and homey and relaxing
So this is a place where you can hang out chat with your family and with your friends
And then of course the balcony area on the other side naman
This I would say is the peaceful side
Just a lot more moonlit
It's really cold here in Baguio
So you don't need the aircon
anymore The weather is wonderful
It's a beautiful day out
Let's go to the room naman
This is my room So it's a one-bedroom
This is where I
stayed last night
I also have a view from here
So it's almost the same as the
balcony Very nice
The lighting here is
great guys you want to
take an Instagram
Instagram there That's about it
It's a super nice room It's great for family and friends to
come and stay
here She has two bedrooms
And then one room has its own bathroom
And then the other one is just right in front of it
This is it
Oh my gosh
Room tour please
In just one and a half days we visited some of the beautiful places
that Baguio has to offer Most of them were my first time visiting
From walking on the hanging bridge of Stubosa Tasting strawberry taho at
the strawberry farm Drying out
Heneraluna puñetang shitake of Oh My Gulay
Exploring the shelves at Mount Cloud Walking around the Baguio Botanical
Garden and the Japanese Tunnels Mixing
chocoa with a batterol at Chocolateria
Burying my negative thoughts and feelings in the Cemetery of Negativism Checking out the
famous Session Road Night Market To of course
trying out the restaurants I've been to before
Baguio may be a destination that most of us have visited before
But every time I come back here it's definitely a different experience
Until the next episode of Ju on
the Go Where should
we go next Tara
