Bach - Komm oh Tod du Schlafes Bruder

Thomas Hengelbrock, his Balthasar-Neumann-Choir and the Balthasar-Neumann-Ensemble are performing "Du, o schönes Weltgebäude" BWV 301 from "Joh. Seb. Bachs vierstimmige Choralgesänge" as well as "Komm, oh Tod, du Schlafes Bruder" from the "Kreuzstab"-Kantate, BWV 56 (same melody). A clip made during the recording sessions of Thomas Hengelbrock's latest CD with works by Bach, Zelenka and Lotti ("Missa a tre cori"). This choral was spontaneously performed and filmed by Jakob Händel who was the recording engineer for the CD production. Come, oh death, brother of sleep, Come and lead me on alone; Loosen my boat's rudder, Bring me to a safe port! Those who will are glad to avoid you, On the contrary, you can give me joy; Because, through you, I come in To the most beautiful child Jesus. #ClassicalMusic
