Pre Shot Routine in pool with Revo, detailed steps in Description, Pool Lesson
Pre Shot Routine:
While Chalking.
Step 1: Look at the table lay out (8 Ball, 9 Ball, 10 Ball, or ect.)
Step 2: Where does the cue ball need to be for the next shot.
Step 3: What is the best shot (top, bottom or stun: do I need spin) to play to get to the next angle, ball or area.
Step 4: Is a Safe better and what is the percentage of playing a Safe.
Step 5: Make a decision; go for the shot or play safe. If deciding on playing Safe repeat step 1-3.
Stop Chalking.
Step 6: Measure the speed the you need to apply cue ball and object ball.
Step 7: Line up to the shot and get down to your shot.
Step 8: Look at the object ball, at the down position, to may sure you are lined up. If not in line, get up and repeat Step 7.
Step 9: Aim at the cue ball on where you want to hit the cue ball.
Step 10: Look at object ball and see the spot you need to hit.
Final Step: Focus on the spot on the object ball, practice stroke, pause refoucus on the spot, shoot the shot by delivering the cue stick as straight as possible with a smooth follow through when hitting the cue ball and stay down until the object ball or cue ball stops rolling.
Some players look at the cue ball last, but I look at the object ball last. If you look at the cue ball last, on “Final” replace “object ball” with cue ball. Hope this helps.
