Glam rocker and American Idol alum, Adam Lambert sold his equally glam-rock contemporary mansion above Sunset Strip in 2020. He sold the property at a loss, but still collected nearly $3 million in the process. In my opinion the stunning home suited him perfectly. However, in 2018, Adam did upgrade to a 5000 square foot home not too far away, where he still currently lives. In this video we’ll check out both of his sleek estates – and I’ll let you be the judge which of which one is nicer.

However, in 2018 Adam did upgrade to a 5,000 square foot home not too far away where he

In this video we'll check out both of his sleek estates.
In these videos we don't reveal any addresses and even though I've done a house tour of
my own place, please do not show up at any private residences because it's not safe

Adam Lambert is a singer and songwriter who rose to fame as the runner up of the 8th season
of American Idol.
He is known for his dynamic vocal performances that blend his theatre training with both
classic and modern genres, and since 2011 he's been the replacement frontman in the
band Queen plus Adam Lambert.
As well as being a successful musician, he makes a name for himself as an activist, focusing
on supporting LGBTQ plus rights.
At the time of this recording, it's estimated that Adam has amassed a net worth of about
30 million dollars, so while a loss on the sale of his starter mansion may have been
a tad disappointing, he can no doubt afford to take the hit.

Now let's get into this video.
In 2020, Adam sold his Hollywood starter home for 2.92 million dollars after looking to
part with it for a long while.
He relisted the home, located in the Hollywood Hills, nestled right above the Sunset Strip
in LA, after a failed attempt at selling it in 2017 for 3.95 million dollars with a different
agency.
Considering Adam bought the home back in 2014 for 2.995 million, according to records, he
did take a slight loss on the sale, but it's worth mentioning he had long moved on to his
current estate down the street, which we'll take a look at after.
For now, let's just take a moment and check out the beauty of his former glam rock estate.
The concrete-faced and modern home just screams rockstar pool, even from the outside, and
it boasts clean-cut lines and a boxy look.
Most of the spacious living areas inside offer views out to the pool, and there's also
plenty of floor-to-ceiling windows.
The 1947-built house has been well upgraded and renovated in recent years to bring all
of the contemporary comforts in, while indoor features include warm earthy tones, wide-plank
floorboards, luxury furnishings and more.
Adam's former mansion spanned 3,799 square feet of space with 3 or 4 bedrooms and 3.5
baths.
There's a moody curved staircase with grey walls, and the main level of the home also
boasts an open-plan living room which is full of natural lights and ideal for entertaining,
with glass slider walls opening to the pool.
Other common rooms included a slightly gothic-style dining room with wine storage, and a designer
kitchen full of top-line appliances, a massive island, marble finishes, and an intimate breakfast
nook.
Moving to the top floor, you'll find Adam's former rockstar-worthy master suite that had
its own cozy sitting area with fireplace and a stylish bathroom decked out in black marble,
with jacuzzi-style soaking tub and doors out to a private terrace.
The lowest floor of the glamorous crib boasted a guest bedroom and ensuite bath, as well
as a bonus gym and music lounge, all with its very own private entrance.
All of that, and we haven't even looked outside yet.
The gated and private Hollywood estate has grounds which are ideal for hosting guests
or kicking back and unwinding.
There's a gorgeous covered patio or lounge off of the house with wooden ceiling and plush
seating arrangements overlooking the pool.
The two connected circular-shaped pools out back also offer an attached spa, which was
large enough to accommodate 10 people.
Adam's house was in the heart of Los Angeles and definitely fit for a celebrity, but it
was still welcoming and comfortable.
I don't know about you guys, but I really loved Adam's former estate so it'll be hard
to top.
He bought his current home in 2018 for 6.5 million dollars, and it's located down the
street from his old one, also above the chic Sunset Strip in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles.
The sleek, newly finished residence is aggressively contemporary in style, and offers more space
than his former crib, clocking in at 5,028 square feet with 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
The three-level crib is tucked away privately behind double gates on around a quarter acre
of land with tree-framed views of the city lights below.
There are also plenty of open plan living spaces inside, with bright white walls and
soaring ceilings, while a raised entrance opens to a cozy entry hall.
This leads to the much larger combined living, dining and kitchen area.
Within this sprawling living space, there are more than one seating and eating areas
and two fireplaces, as well as a floating staircase encased in glass connecting the
floors of his home.
Adam's modern and slightly basic kitchen is outfitted with dark wood cabinetry, a lot
of white and bar-style seating, along with full walls of attractable glass that blend
the indoor and outdoor spaces.
The main living area also has these disappearing glass walls to really take in the LA lifestyle.
Other features in his modern home include a climate-controlled wine cabinet and a cozy
home theater tucked away on the lower level.
His home offers a second floor gallery with skylights that leads to the guest bedrooms
and the master retreat.
Adam's suite has a fireplace, two walk-in closets and glass doors that open to a private
balcony, while the bathroom boasts a soaking tub set in glass and a steam shower.
The private backyard is also convenient for hosting guests as there are functional features
like a built-in barbecue and outdoor bar.
A linear fire feature sits beside the lounge out here and offers a view over the trees
to the city.
Elsewhere, the yard has an infinity pool with built-in spa.
Well it seems to me that now we've looked at both of Adam Lambert's homes past and
present, so I'll wrap up this house tour here.
We've seen his glamorous rockstar-style starter pad in the Hollywood Hills, which
he sold a few years back, and his ultra-modern current mansion just down the street above
the Sunset Strip.
While I have to say both of those properties are impressive, I'm drawn to his former
house more for some reason.
I think it might be because it has much more personality, at least from what we can see
from the photos, and it's totally rock and roll.
I love the spaces here, like the entertainer's backyard with the poolside covered patio.
Of course, Adam's current mansion is chic as they come, but I don't know if it's
unique enough for a star like him.
Anyways, which of the two homes did you prefer?
You know what to do, let me know your thoughts down in the comment section.
Thanks for tuning in and be sure to send me a DM about whose homes we should look at next.
I'll see you all in the next video.
Bye!
