2021 Kia Seltos SX | Walk Around, Test Drive, & Review |

Hey YouTube, it's trying to check out the 2021 Kia Seltos XX Turbo. This one is a rare find with this 1.6 turbocharged engine. We're going to go through the ins and outs here today. Special thanks to the boys at Georgetown Kia for letting us take this puppy out. This XX Turbo was really at the top so it is fully loaded for your Seltos trim package. It's going to come with our rear privacy glass tinted windows and our silver roof rails. You also get these silver window accents and handles. The mirrors come with our LED turning signal. They are heated mirrors and they do have our blind spot indicator on the mirror as well. What I really like right when we saw this car was these 18 inch aluminum alloy rims and specific to this turbo package model is this nice red cover there. It really adds a nice sporty flair to the rims. When we check out the front, I turned the headlights on because I wanted to show you these headlamps. They're all full LED headlights with this XX model and you can see it's almost dual level between our headlamps and our turning signals. It does come with the LED fog lights and then we have our highway collision avoidance assistant. So there's a sensor right in the front. The chrome plated front grill as well. So let's pop the hood and check out the power plant. Normally this one would come with a 2 liter 4 cylinder engine giving you about 146 horsepower. But since this one is that SX turbo, you're going to get the 1.6 4 cylinder turbo with the GDI. It's going to give you about 175 horsepower and 195 pounds feet of torque. It's going to come with a 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission. It comes with the all wheel drive, regular fuel, so it does have a lot of bonuses to the turbo. I'm excited to try out the turbo and see what you think. But it's going to give you about 9.4 liters for every 100 kilometers in the city and 7.9 on the highway. So still pretty good fuel economy with a car with 175 horsepower. Perfect for the winter time, it does come with your remote starter. So you just need to make sure the vehicle is locked and then you click and hold this remote start button. It is a small little button, but you can see the car starts up. It's a very quiet engine when it idles and then you just need to push the button on the door there and it's very easy to get in and out. When I jump inside, I go sit into this leather seat. It's a fully 8 way power adjustable driver's seat with the lumbar support. They are heated and air conditioned seats. So that's something that some of the competitors don't offer are the air conditioned seats. In terms of the technology, there is quite a bit of technology in this. We have the 10.25 inch touchscreen, has the GPS navigation, the UVO connectivity, the Android Auto as well. You can also listen to the upgraded sound system. With this one being the SX, you get the Bose audio sound system. So it does have a great sound system as well. There's a few other added technologies that you get in this vehicle that some of your competitors don't have. For example, the heads up display shows your digital speedometer right on it here. I can turn that on and off if I don't like it and you can see the little screen kind of vanishes in there. It's not like some of the upgraded, the higher end heads up displays. That screen basically just mirrors your digital speedometer right on the windshield. But it's good to have. I just like a digital speedometer in my vehicle information screen. This one has a 7 inch vehicle information screen. There's a couple different drive modes that I can display, but overall the comfort and the drive is great. A ton of technology for the young consumer. QI charger, like I mentioned, will charge your phone. There's a couple USBs and then you have the blind spot warning, the forward collision warning, the intelligent, you have your smart cruise control, it will keep you a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you. But what I really want to test out is that turbo charged engine, which we're going to take it on the highway here and test it out. So there's three different drive modes, a normal, a smart mode, and a sport mode. I'm going to put it into sport mode here and see how this thing goes. And that's pedal to the floor. It does have a little groan to it as you can see, but wow, that picked up very, very quick. A lot smoother than that two liter the regular EX versions come. Checking out the rear, this silver strip here on your trunk accent goes right into our rear lights here. Let's open up the trunk. There's 26 cubic feet of cargo capacity. It does come with our cargo cover as well. Our carpeted mats, and then there is our storage for our spare right below it. You can fold the seats down. It's a 60 40 split for the seats and that's going to give you about 62 cubic feet of cargo capacity. So quite a bit of cargo capacity for this small little vehicle. So that's a wrap guys.
