Easiest Croton Houseplant || Freckles Croton Plant Spotlight || How to Grow Croton Indoors
Finally spotlighting my all time favorite croton variety, the codiaeum variegatum 'freckles'
From my experience, the freckles croton is by far the best croton to grow indoors. Growing crotons as houseplants can sometimes be tricky because of their love for warmth and humidity. They are easy to overwater and have root rot when grown inside the home causing a lot of people to not want to keep them as a houseplant. The croton freckles just grows and doesn't seem to mind the many things that tick off the petra croton which will drop it's leaves from the slightest changes. The care for codiaeum variegatum freckles is similar to the care for the more common petra, except it can take more light. Light for the petra croton can be confusing because technically they are not a croton for full sun, though they will grow and do fine with it, with the exception of having smaller foliage and less color on their foliage. The freckles croton seems to love the sun and grow equally as well outdoors in part to full sun as it does for me indoors under grow lights. I didn't dive too deep into the care but I made sure to provide clips from other croton videos that give care instructions for how to grow crotons indoors and for troubleshooting. The troubleshooting is in reference to houseplants dropping leaves and crotons dropping leaves, which is a common problem for the petra croton, not so much for the freckles. For me, this has been by far the easiest croton to grow and the best croton to grow indoors.
