Whitewater Canoeing On The Madawaska River

Noah flew into Ontario to head to Palmer Rapids for the well known Palmer River Fest put on by the Paddler Co-op. Our goal for the weekend was to get as much time together in a canoe paddling whitewater to hone our skills.

The Lower Madawaska River features a lot of moving water (approx. 290 cm/s) but was not overly technical. The fast currents were a great playground to get us very comfortable moving in and out of the current and working together to move the canoe around.
