Adding a DIY Shower Curtain Rod To Our RV Shower // RV Bathroom Remodel

Adding a DIY shower curtain rod to our RV shower was the finishing touch needed to completely transform this project in our bathroom!

Because we wanted to keep a rustic look throughout our bathroom we opted to build our own RV shower curtain rod out of 1/2" copper pipe. Not only was this fairly affordable but also it was not overly complicated and something we could put together pretty quickly.

In this video you'll learn how to build DIY shower curtain rods to add to your custom shower install. For under $40 you should be able to find all of the copper fittings, pipe and tools to create the exact shower curtain rod you are looking for in your RV.

First, build a basic outline using tape on the ceiling. Then measure the length of pipe you will need and cut to various lengths to fit the outline. Mount the flanges in place on the wall and secure the copper pipe to the flange.

Then add any elbow fittings to allow you to curve the shower rod as necessary. Be sure to insert a T-fitting to be able to add a vertical support pipe to the shower rod. Piece it all together and you are finished!
