For over two decades, Denzel Washington and his wife have lived in a custom-built mega mansion in the exclusive Beverly Park. Considering their estate is a whopping 30,000 square foot palace with a detached 5000 square foot guest house, it makes sense that now that their 4 children are adults living their own life, the couple would want a new, somewhat smaller home too. In recent news, Denzel has picked up a beautiful, double-wide, multi-million dollar condo unit in the fancy LA high-rise, The Century – a building that is a fave among A-List celebrities.

A building which is a fave among A-list celebrities.
In these videos we don't reveal any addresses, and even though I've done a house tour of
my own place, please do not show up at any private residences because it's not safe
for anyone.
Denzel Washington is an actor, director and producer known for his performances on screen
and on stage, and he's also been called an actor who reconfigured the concept of classic
movie stardom.
Denzel has a long, long list of hit movies he's starred in as his career has spanned
over four decades, and he's also received a ton of awards and accolades, including two
Oscars.
In 2020, the New York Times even named him the greatest actor of the 21st century.
So where does the greatest actor of the 21st century call home?
You have to assume that Denzel's home would be quite impressive.
He and his long-time wife, Pauletta Pearson, have lived in their custom Beverly Park palace
since the early 90s, and their four children lived here too before they were all grown
up.
Now Denzel can add a luxury condo in the Century Building to his list, and while the unit may
have cost him $10.9 million, with a net worth of $280 million, we already know that the
Washingtons can afford it.

Whether the couple is fully downsizing or buying a new spot as a part-time getaway,
Denzel and his wife now own a new sprawling apartment in the celebrity-loved The Century
Building.
Kandi Spelling is one celebrity who loves living here, and I wouldn't blame her, as
her home is situated on the top two floors of the building, spanning 19,000 square feet.
Other famed residents of the skyscraper, past and present, include Rihanna, and formerly
The Friends star Matthew Perry.
Denzel paid $10.9 million for his beautiful new mansion, The Sky, which was sold to him
by HRH Princess Reema Bint Bandar Al Saud, granddaughter of the late Saudi King.
The Century is a Robert M. Stern-designed high-rise located in Century City, Los Angeles
that has been one of the most exclusive condo buildings since it was built in 2010.
At 42 stories high, the building is popular with wealthy business people and celebrities
alike, and you won't find a unit cheaper than $3 million here these days.
Residents can take advantage of the lavish amenities too, like a 24-7 concierge, secure
and gated entryway, and 5-star in-house restaurant.
As for Denzel's new crib, it's a double-wide unit that's made up of two neighboring condos,
totaling 8,150 square feet of space.
The former owner spent some money to combine the two units into the current mansion-sized
flat that also offers up 6 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms throughout.
The apartment has light-coloured walls and ceilings throughout to make the space seem
even bigger if that's necessary, while there are multiple living areas to relax or entertain.
Because Denzel's new apartment was once two, the floor plan actually has two of almost
everything.
There are two living rooms, two dining rooms, and more.
The living area's focal point has got to be the giant fireplace, considering it's
rare to find one in an LA condo building.
Most of the living and dining rooms also have walls of glass for natural light and views,
as well as glass sliders leading to balconies.
Despite Denzel's new apartment being in one of the building's lower levels, it's
still high enough to provide amazing panoramic views of the city.
In fact, because this condo covers a half floor, there are also a handful of terraces
to eat outside or simply to relax.
The kitchen may be more functional rather than elegant, but it offers commercial-grade
stainless steel appliances that are sure to impress.
In addition to the main dining space, there are other casual seating areas throughout
the apartment, including some cozy breakfast nooks to enjoy family meals.
The master bath seemingly has a different colour scheme from the rest of the home with
everything in black and white.
On the grounds of the century, the 4 acres of land in a prime spot of LA are perfectly
manicured and offer rolling lawns, designer gardens, and of course, a 75-foot swimming
pool for residents to enjoy.
Other resort-level bonuses include a state-of-the-art screening room, children's play center,
on-site pet spa, and a boardroom and business center.
For more than 2 decades, Denzel has lived in Beverly Park, the ultra-exclusive gated
community above Beverly Hills.
Now, let's take a look at his longtime mega-mansion, which is inspired by a French chateau and
one of the largest compounds in the entire neighbourhood.
Denzel keeps his main estate largely under wraps, especially the interiors.
However, the property is so massive, it's impossible to miss.
The paparazzi-proof estate includes a main house spanning about 30,000 square feet of
space and a detached 3-floor guest house elsewhere on the property, boasting a further 5,000
square feet.
Beverly Park is essentially the top of the pyramid when it comes to A-lister neighbourhoods,
offering mansions averaging 20,000 square feet and empty parcels of land, selling for
nearly 30 million at times.
Other famous folk who live here include the likes of Eddie Murphy, Rod Stewart, and Mark
Wahlberg, and that's just merely a take.
On top of the fool-proof security, the neighbourhood is also heavily wooded and protected by many
trees.
Beverly Park is only accessible via two guarded checkpoints, and is fully paparazzi-proof.
Not to mention, most of the properties are at least a couple of acres of land, so you
don't even need to see your neighbours.
Denzel bought his property in Beverly Park back in 1992 for the low price of only 2.6
million dollars from Michael Eisner, who used to be the CEO of Walt Disney, and it offers
over 2 acres of sprawling land.
It's said that Denzel invested a lot more into his dream home though, having it custom
built to suit his tastes, and it was completed in 1999.
Within the mega mansion, there's a reported 8 beds and 14 baths throughout.
Outside, features include a fountain studded motor court, a large sparkling pool and spa,
as well as a sunken and lit tennis court.
There are two separate and private entrances to Denzel's estate, which make it even more
likely that intruders would have any luck getting in.
Records estimate that these days, Denzel's home could be worth anywhere between 16 million
dollars to 80 million dollars.
And with real estate prices these days, I wouldn't be surprised if it was even more
than that.
His 4 children are all grown now and have most likely moved off the property, so I would
assume any mansion this size feels a little bit too spacious for only 2 people.
Before Denzel lived among the mega wealthy and famous in the sought after Beverly Park,
he called Toluca Lake, California home.
In 1988, he paid 1.1 million for this charming traditional home, which sits on a large .6
to 8 acre lot.
Inside, Denzel's previous home spanned 6,334 square feet with 4 beds and 5 baths, and aside
from the actor living here, once upon a time, the home was even the setting for Ronald and
Nancy Reagan's wedding reception in 1952.
Designed by architect Paul Williams and built in 1940, the rough shingled and stone faced
Connecticut style home was located in a quiet and private area in Toluca Lake.
His neighborhood is only 12 miles from downtown LA in the San Fernando Valley, and although
it maintained architectural details, the home was updated for modern day living.
The renovated main residence offered a large living room with fireplace and huge bay window,
plus separate dining room and cozy library with TV mounted fireplace and built in shelves.
The updated kitchen was complete with a center island, marble countertops and premium grade
appliances.
Not to mention there's a breakfast room with French doors leading to a formal garden with
koi pond.
The master suite, which Denzel once occupied, has mirrored wardrobes, a vanity, a balcony,
marble en suite with freestanding tub and shower, as well as an attached office or media
room.
According to listing materials, the home also had a finished basement providing extra space.
Outside a long gated driveway runs between the main house and a fenced in swimming pool
and spa beside a guest house, which offers two self-contained studio-style suites, both
with high-end kitchens and one with built-in bunk beds.
Other outdoor spaces include a brick pool deck and patio, barbecue area, as well as
a fire pit to relax around.
Elsewhere on the property you'll find a workshop and a three-car garage.
Way back in 2000, Denzel sold this home for $1.9 million and in 2019 sold for about $4
million, continually increasing in value.
Alright guys, that's gonna bring our Denzel Washington house tour to a close.
We got to catch a little bit of a glimpse at his longtime Beverly Park mansion, but
more importantly, we saw his brand new condo in the century.
That's more like a mansion in size and style than a mere apartment.
