Is Matt Damon WHITEWASHING in The Great Wall Movie? Constace Wu Thinks So

The trailer for the new Chinese epic "The Great Wall" starring Matt Damon dropped and the internet is now in a storm of controversy. The events were prompted by many people calling out Hollywood once again for 'whitewashing' another film.

Fresh of the Boat star and Constance Wu outright slammed the film and the industry for continuing to perpetuate the racist myth that only white men can be heroes. Others also point that this was also a joint venture and an attempt for the Chinese movie industry to make their mark.

The film is produced by the Legendary (Batman Begins) which was recently purchased by the richest real estate companies in China - Wanda. They attached a famous director (Zhang Yimou) and a slew of other Asian actors and actresses, all except the hero and what appears to be his sidekick and the voice of the 'beast'.
